I've ordered from China Cafe a couple of times now and thought it was time to submit my accolades. One of the only Chinese... restaurants left in downtown Syracuse since COVID took my favorite - Bamboo House. Well, China Cafe has not disappointed! Bothtimes were for lunch, ordering their lunch combo which includes soup or eggroll. Last of the good deals for lunch at$7.45-$7.75 for lunch! You get a lot of food in the combo especially for this price. The hot and sour soup is very good withlots of fresh vegetables and tofu - and with a nice spicy kick which is what it is supposed to have. Love it! The currychicken (first visit) and chicken w/ garlic sauce (second visit) were both excellent and very tasty. Vegetables, like the soupwere plentiful and seemed fresh - not brown or wilted with a slight crunchiness (el dente) The garlic sauce was a bit differentthan others I've had but boy was it good. I'm very impressed with this little gem in downtown Syracuse. Will be my go to forlunch out. They only do takeout as of right now. Very friendly staff that I have dealt with and seem to always want to pleaseand make sure your order is correct. Definitely give this place a try, you won't be disappointed. Read more

The food was hot and tasty, the driver was punctual, and everything was there. The only reason why I'm taking a star off is... because my food was leaking when I got it and it made a mess on my table. Not a big deal, but it shows that they could be a bitmore careful when packaging the food. Read more
I have been coming to this place for a very long time and they are amazing and very family-oriented. Very professional, and... their food is amazing, I have told so many people to try their food and they have all told me it was amazing. Continue doing agreat job. I will forever come to you guys. Holy hot tamale did this food hit the spot today. We were suffering through a FIERCE hangover and had never gotten food here but... needed some crispy easy saucy goodness. Man did they deliver (unlike our other favorite Chinese spot that is pick up only (whodoes that really?)) some ivy league ish. The food was nice and hot and stuff that was supposed to be crispy was mad crispy. Ordered chicken katsu sauce on side. When received the chicken was completely dried out, Not edible. When I called to complain I... was told that they told me it was dry when I ordered. BS. Why would they sell something they knew was so bad. Unfortunately theywouldn’t own up to this issue. No refund no credit. Pretty rude about it too. One of the worst Chinese food experiences I ever had . General tso chicken and fried rice for lunch I could not eat it after a... few bites . I guess I am more worldly and experience much better Chinese food elsewhere this does not come close. Wasted my timeand money Read more
