Great food and service! We were lucky to get in around 430 and not have a wait on a Friday evening. We had a party of 3. We got... the sweetheart platter, deviled eggs, and the nachos. Wow! I was really impressed ! We got a family stule package with all the different meats. It was delicious! We also loved the... mashed potatoes, the Mac and cheese, the corn bread and the deviled eggs. We sat outside and the staff was really attentive.Great place!!! Read more
Good BBQ, friendly staff and fun restaurant. The inside was a little crowded but very lively for a Tuesday night. The outside... sitting area was nice as well. The staff was very friendly and attentive. The bbq chicken was tasty and the sides were alsogood. Probably my favorite dish was the shrimp appetizer. Read more
My fiance and I went to Syracuse for the first time over the weekend and we were recommended this place to eat. This place did... not disappoint! Our wait was an hour to get in but that's because they are popular and very busy. It was soooo worth the wait!Our waitress Lisa was very friendly and helpful despite being so busy. Our food was ready very quickly, was fresh and hot, andtasted absolutely amazing. Kudos to the cooks! I would highly recommend eating here when in the area! Read more
It was a hour and half wait but it was worth it! We had the ribs and brisket.. it was very tender and the Mac and cheese!! Omg..... delicious.. it is a must try. The deviled eggs were okay. We always try to go to Dinosaur while we’re in Syracuse. As usual, we had a great meal. We ordered the ribs for two, which is... a full rack of ribs with four sides of your choice and two pieces of cornbread. We chose 2 mac & cheese, fries, and mashedpotatoes with gravy. This ribs were excellent as they come or paired with their original BBQ sauce. My boyfriend loves their mac& cheese, but I did not care for the spice on top— it was just too spicy for me. The mashed potatoes and gravy were reallygood, in my opinion, but my boyfriend didn’t like the gravy. The fries were really good— a nice combination of a crispyoutside, a soft inside, and mild seasoning. The cornbread was really good, too. Nice flavor, not dry, and best of all, no bitsof corn (sorry if you’re into that kind of thing). There’s so much food, we couldn’t finish it all. At $39 we thought itwas a great deal! Read more
Excellent find in this town. Came for a stop overnight and looking a place for lunch found this place and loved it. All items we... ordered were tasty, good portions and very well presented. Had the family meal and we all liked it. Brisket wasn't too fatty butwas tender, ribs were on point, chicken has the right smoke, beans we're not too sweet which we enjoyed, fries were crunchy,Cole slow wasn't sweet which was a good surprise. I have seen quite a few changes since my 1st in-house visit to the Syracuse Dinosaur BBQ in 1996. Some of the waitresses have... changed, some of the kitchen staff has changed, the inside has changed, the bar has changed, and the menu has changed. With allof these changes, I've mentioned that one thing has never changed, and that is the consistency of the food, the friendliness ofthe staff, and the great times of each visit. My most recent visit was this past weekend on Sunday, and our waitress Christiewas great! She went out of her way and took a few minutes to chat about some of the changes that have taken place, as well assome of the other Dinosaur BBQ restaurants that I have visited. Each of them have a uniqueness, but all in a great way. To theowner of this great establishment, thank you for always serving the highest quality and best tasting barbecue around. With over130 visits to your restaurant and several more to other locations, the 227 mile trip never gets old, although I would notcomplain if you opened one somewhere between Philadelphia and Allentown Pennsylvania.
