Very good service, great food. Expensive $$$ but worth the money.
By far one of The greatest experiences I've had when eating in the Downtown area of Syracuse. The Sea bass was the Absolute best... I ever had, customer service was outstanding. Would highly recommend that you dine in at the Prime Steak House you won't regret. Read more

This place is exceptional! The staff is very friendly and extremely professional. The building is extremely old and has such a... great historic feel to it. Plus they had Fox News going on the TV in the bar, and in a place like New York, that is refreshing! Meaningful diversity, i.e. diversity of thought, is extremely rare in a place like this state! Look, I’m more than willing to dish out 60-80 dollars on an exceptional steak, but this place misses the mark on almost every... level. Unfortunately, Prime is a budget steakhouse veiled as a premium establishment. It’s not bad by any stretch of theimagination, but it’s not “good” in any real sense. Most bars in the area serve a better steak than Prime. Try the York,or Darkhorse, and you’ll get a better steak for under 30 dollars. The drinks were pretty bad too, but I can brush that off asthe bartender having a bad night. Also, as a side note I saw the owner berating some staff in a pretty unfair way on our wayout. I get it, working in restaurants can be hectic, but it leaves you with a pretty dirty feeling as a customer having to beexposed to that. All in all, the place is worth going to once so you can tell yourself you’ll never go again. Read more
Up in Syracuse for the 2021 NYS Association of Fire Chiefs annual convention. Always ask the locals for recommendations of... places to eat and Prime Steakhouse was suggested multiple times. Decided to give it a try. On the way asked someone outsidehow the place was, turned out we met Danny the owner, awsome guy. He got us a table in the bar right outside the wine vault. Such a great atmosphere here, the staff was extremely friendly and very attentive. I can personally recommend the surf andturf. Will definitely be coming back when we are back in town. Updated for 2022.. Back for the NYS Association of Fire ChiefsConvention again. Once again, Prime Steakhouse doesn't disappoint. Amazing food and amazing atmosphere. Visiting Syracuse for a convention. Prime was one of the most recommended spots to eat. We ate at one of the tables in the bar... and the food and staff was excellent. Before we went in the owner introduced himself and ensured that we were taken care of.Will definitely be visiting Prime Steakhouse next time we are here. Read more
Reason for the low score: small pieces of glass all over our table and in some of our plates. I didn't know it until I saw... something shiny in my salad plate 20 minutes into our meal. We had a group of seven and wasn't offered anything but to stand upso they could change out the tablecloth. Spent $800 that night and probably won't return. Especially my pregnant friend that atewith us that night. Visit was on 11/12/22 around 7-8pm. Read more
