I?ve been frequenting this store since I was a kid (under various mgmts) and have lived in the area for almost 30 years. The... store is now ridiculously over priced and to add insult to injury the cashier didn?t even acknowledge us while cashing out- ohand get this!!!- WASNT EVEN WEARING A MASK!!!!!! You?re better off at the corner store on the next block across from Alto ormaking the hike to Grabbys. Never again!!!! Read more
No prices on anything, very limited selected, and definitely not enough that I would've called this a grocery store. Its more... like a convenience store/gas station than a grocery. Lady was nice, but I decided not to buy anything (didn't experience theovercharging frequently mentioned) so 2 stars instead of 1. Read more
Guy tried to charge me 15 bucks on potatoes and a bottle of water. I told him that wasn't the right price, and that it was a... shame he was trying to overcharge me. Then he charged me four dollars. I think of all the times I've probably been overchargedby all these little bodegas in the Westcott neighborhood... Read more
Best falafel in cuse! You can tell they actually make them instead of using a mix, bright green inside and always cooked fresh.... Don't forget to get their fresh made hot sauce on it too, seriously to die for! Read more
None of their prices are listed, which is against NY State law. Reminds me of a grocery store in a third-world country. NY... State Law: "A retail store shall: a. Display the retail price of each stock-keeping unit offered for sale, either on each unitor on easy to read shelf tags, or signs, located directly above or below or immediately adjacent to every stock-keeping unit orgroup of stock-keeping units of the same brand, size and price." A very friendly place to shop that is conveniently located. I go there all the time. They have some premade indian. I'm no... expert on indian food, so I can't say how it compares to most traditional indian dishes, but I enjoy it, and I don't see itanywhere else around town. Plenty of those meals are vegan too! The free UPS Drop off service is useless in this place. They did not have a reason to decline taking my package on a snowy -6°C... day. Yet the staff did with no more explanation than "No we cannot take it. We'd have to pay $5 on your behalf for thepackage" Didn't care to ask if they could charge me the five bucks and take the package because the rudeness was sooverpowering. No customer deserves to go through such hostility. Use the University drop off services instead. Easy andtrustworthy. Read more
