Good food, great chowder. Prices are going up but it's that way everywhere. Friendly and helpful staff. Refills were easy... since they're back to do it yourself drink service. Seats need more space for us "larger" folks. Read more
I expected Ivar's to be expensive, but this is ridiculous. I ordered a clams & chips with 2 extra piece of fish and a cup of... chowder. My daughter ordered prawn's with a Caesar salad ànd cornbread. Grand total $37.73! Which I was okay paying. My biggestproblem is that the two pieces of fish were tiny and cold! The seafood portions are VERY small and the French fries portions aretoo large. I waited over 20 minutes in the drive thru and I was the only car! No one came to the window to explain why this wastaking so long. DO BETTER IVAR'S!!! Read more
Really good fried cod fish fillets. Especially w/tartar sauce. It's a bit pricey, however, for what is essentially a nicer... seafood fast food joint...When I say nicer I mean in comparison to the only other fast food places I've tried before thatspecialize in seafood - Skippers & Long John Silvers (similar atmosphere though). Ivar's is definitely a step above in quality,taste and at least equal in quantity.. It's just not quite sit down restaurant level quality, and to be fair, maybe it's nottrying to be.. Read more

The staff seemed more focused on drive thru. The restaurant dining room is stuck in the 70's and is in need of an update. I... have eaten at Ivar's for decades and always ordered Cajun fish and chips and consistently they have shrunk the potions down somuch that it is no longer enjoyable. Read more

This is a fast food restaurant. Meaning fast food quality! If you're used to fast food & like fast food this place is for you!... But not for me. We are from California & Alaska. New to WA I had been craving fish & chips & a friend of my husband told himthis place is amazing. I was excited to try this place out. We Arrived & our order was given away to someone else, so we orderedagain. Regardless I was excited to try the food. The fries had no seasoning. No salt. The fish was a little rubbery with noflavor & shrimp had no flavor either. I had to put lime & Tapatio in my tartar sauce to eat the food. If you are used toseasoning in your food this place ain't for you. No hate to this restaurant obviously people love it & they found their targetaudience but this place ain't for me. Read more
