Currently on a quest to find the best brisket in Washington!... It's not here tho. Speedy customer service and friendly staff.... Up visiting from the Portland/Vancouver area and wanted some quick BBQ and oh, my. Meats are melt in your mouth tender, sauce... has just the right tang..the cornbread muffins are scrumptious and the Mac n Cheese is heavenly. There was only one womanworking this evening and despite answering phones, taking orders and dealing with seated guest, she remained calm andexceedingly polite. Really disappointed, I enjoy some good rib's sometimes but not this time. My dinner amounted to 3 overcooked ribs a biscuit a... few tablespoons of potato salad and baked beans and a bottle of water that cost me $27 plus tip. And if I remember right Ivisited the warthog in Fife before the virus started and I had problems at that one too. So obviously I'm going to have to finda new place to get some good ribs. Read more
The brisket sandwich was just OK. I liked the sauce, but thought the meat could have been more tender. The fries were oddly... sweet. The waitress was really nice. The kitchen staff was having a conversation that could be heard in the dining room. F-wordand several other swear words included. I would have enjoyed my lunch more if I didn't have to hear them. Pretty good. Comparing to any chain type of bbq it was stellar, but comparing with real craftsmen who smoke as an art it was... good. Bit too salty, sauce needed a bit more kick, beans good, slaw okay, corn bread dense and moist, note i ONLY only only hadpork ribs not the brisket ( and thats where the real artistry is required so i will get that next time ) and only referring tothe pork ribs, on that item alone, the smoke penetration was not very deep but meat was moist and easily lifted from the bone,some silver was left which is always unappetizing. Received a 1/4 rack with fixins for $20 which I guess is average ? Dirtyfries pretty good. Taxidermy was over the top .. got goosed by a gazelle trying to get to the bathroom. Worthy of trying onceif in the area but not what i woukd call a destination. Read more
I?ve been here once before and had no real complaint, this time I order the fries ( nearly $8 ) and they are completely burnt,... actually inedible. Not to mention the other food seemed like it was severely over microwaved. Not worth the price at all ifthey?re willing to let food of this quality go out the door, seemed like they completely neglected the whole order. Read more
This is the kind of barbecue place that we need more of. From the time you walked in the door you know that what you're going to... get is premium high quality meats. I got the meat platter that had a nice variety of chicken, ribs, and brisket. Every singlebite was melt in your mouth delicious. I also want to point out the amazing baked beans. These were authentic baked beans, notthe BBQ sauce smothered slop you get everywhere else. I hate when the beans are sweet sauce flavored. They should be smokey andsavory, just like these beans. I'd give a ten outta ten for these two reasons alone, but on top of the amazing food was awonderful staff, the young lady at the counter, and the mustachioed gentlemen cooking were friendly and made us feel welcomed.They reminded me of back in Louisiana where you go into a place and everyone welcomes you like old friends. I highly recommendtrying them out. The only regret I have is not getting one of the giant cookies. It looked amazing and my wife wanted one, butwe were stuffed by the time we left. Read more
