The food was just superb and sitting outside in the fresh air was a lovely change from your standard eatery. The staff and chefs... have done an amazing job creating an intimate dining experience - spoon will be our regular local spot from now on ???? Read more

Diamond in the woods. Small little spot kinda hidden. Great setting outdoor. Has just a few tables inside and out so make... reservation although we were walk ins. Food was five star. We were going to Hells Kitchen but was an hour away and decided totry this place. Save hundreds and the food was just as good or maybe better! The seating atmosphere was 100 times better thanHK. Great spot! Read more

Small, home style American eatery. The waiter was nice and took our order for takeout very politely. Unfortunately, the food was... quite salty: the mushroom soup, tomato sauce on the linguini, were both overly salted and we already usually enjoy heavierseasoning / salting. The toasts were more balanced, herb oil on ciabatta was aromatic! If a little sparse on the spread. Cheesytoast was also savory and aromatic, but cheese was pale and not browned/caramelized. Hearty meal overall, but would recommenddiners to ask for slightly less salt (if our takeout was representative of the usual fare). Read more

Spoon is my favorite restaurant in North Lake Tahoe. Have never been disappointed! They know what they do well and keep the menu... streamlined! Both the presentation & taste are always top notch. And their desserts made daily are a must-have! Plus you canbring your own drinks, no corkage fee! Read more

This place is a little gem. Heads up - it?s BYOB and there is a little market across the street. The food was tasty and fresh.... It is run by a super sweet couple - the husband cooks and the wife runs the front of house. She also makes all the desserts fromscratch. (Pecan tart special was to die for). Service, food and vibes were all 5 star! Read more

Awesome! It's a very cute, little family owned restaurant. They have lots of vegan options. Had their tofu bowl and the creamy... salsa dressing was amazing. We also got roasted vegetables and tomato soup. All the three turned out to be great. The people atthis restaurant were very kind. They only have outdoor seating but I don't think you would want to sitting indoors. Also, askfor their daily specials! Read more

Staff: 10/5 Food: 4/5 Service: 10/5 We were probably the first ones to visit upon opening this season. We were greeted warmly... and emphatically by two front-staff members, who clearly have a passion for the food that they serve. They mentioned that theyrotate menus every season, so we were the first to try this menu! They're currently doing takeout only but may change as theseason progresses. We ordered the following: - pear mac and cheese app: delicious! However we did find it slightly lackingwhen you got a bite without pear - lamb shank entree: cooked very well-- fall-off-the-bome tender. Flavor didn't knock our socksoff, unfortunately. Paired very well with the pickled red onion and grits that it was served on - salmon entree (pictured): ourfavorite! The skin was perfectly crispy and the flesh was delectably soft. The chef made a heavenly combination by serving itwith oyster mushrooms and a bacon-romesco sauce. Absolutely delicious! - black beans with cilantro scallion "crema" side: i didnot particularly enjoy this above other black beans, but my boyfriend really did. - caramelized onion grits: neither of us likedit very much, sadly, but the staff was so excited about it I feel bad writing this. Fun side story: i was waiting for my bf bythe door when i heard the staff raving about how amazing the grits were amongst themselves. On the way back to the car, i toldmy boyfriend, who of course had to go back in and get it. As he ordered the grits, a staff member lit up and, while loading up ato go container, excitedly told him to smell it, "doesn't it smell so good?!" Total time to receive order: ~25 min (sheestimated half hour when we paid) I had to run back in after the meal to snap pictures of the menu for this review (which ionly decided to do after eating, since i had such a great experience). When i did, not only the front counter employee asked butthe chef also wanted to know what i thought of the meal. He had an insanely genuine and eager curi Read more
