It is a good restaurant with a beautiful view! We ordered the following: Pesto Pizza 5/5 stars, vegi/cheese pizza 5/5, smoked... chicken pizza 2/5, roast beef sandwhich 4/5, and the ground beef burger 3/5. The host at the front today wasn?t too helpful butour server (forgot her name) was wonderful. She was sweet and made sure our order was on point. The view is beautiful.Definitely a go to place if you want to enjoy the view with good food. Prices is VERY decent! Overall, excellent experience.Would definitely recommend. ???? Read more
I loved the place. After a long day I arrived for dinner at Za's Lakefront. I was alone and stayed at the bar. Both Brian and... Seth were really nice bartenders. The full moon view was amazing. Also the calamari made me feel like home in Greece and theshrimp linguini was delicious. Thank you for that great experience. Read more
Poor customer experience. The place was very busy with lots of large parties. We knew what we wanted before being seated after... a 35 minute wait. We were able to place our order before a party of 13. Our waitress was kind and considerate, but thehostesses slammed her so she basically apoligized and took out order. The food came, linguini with clams, pesto pasta, polentaand mushrooms... she said someone else would bring out our Brussel sprouts. No one brought them, i watched them sit on thewindow for 10 minutes then walked over to ask if i could take my appetizer.. the chef looked annoyed, another server said shewould check if that was ours. She brought it out, dropped on the table and left. Since there is no expediter to ensure ordersare getting to customers, the chef should be making sure orders don't sit in the window, other servers should help out. Whilethe food was fine, i won't go back. This place is like many others on the lake, they don't care about customer service, justvolume of new tourists looking for a reasonably price meal. The Brussel sprouts were very good, we didn't care for the drypolenta dripping in the sweet Marsala sauce. Read more
Tried zukini pizza with goat cheese , it was delicious. It was little on the sweet side because of the raisins and cranberries,... but I had never had pizza with nuts, worth a try. The burger was okay. The view from the patio is just amazing. Read more
Saw the fried chicken Tuesday special advertised on google and I had to try it. Planned an entire day of activities in and... around Tahoe City to try the after 5 special. We arrived after 5pm. Seated right away. Staff was super friendly andattentive. Arnold palmers were great. The appetizer bread had a hint of tomato and came with a creamy vinegrette for dipping. Weordered 2 fried chicken specials and an order of brussel sprouts. The menu reads "fried brussel sprouts with lemon". They cameout perfectly fried, but Super Heavy on the lemon. The fried chicken special, however, was worth my day in Tahoe City. It camewith 2 pieces of white meat, juicy, yet with a crunch. A scoop of mashed potatoes with sweet creamed corn poured over it. Thecorn had red peppers and pieces of bacon in it, which went perfectly together. Thoroughly enjoyed this meal; would recommend toanyone! Read more
Great place for a quick delicious bite with a view! Even better if you get here before Ethyl needs to get to Bingo Night.... Seriously though, it is good to get here 4:30 -5:30. Bar menu is plenty satisfying. And a few nights they have specials. Theviews of the lake are great and service is friendly, fast, and efficient. We have also dinner here seated on the patio insummer, and full dinner menu. Good pasta and seafood. Read more
Don?t spend your money here. It looks and sounds intriguing but I promise it is not. The food is not only subpar, it?s actually... pretty bad. The smoked chicken calzone and smoked chicken pasta were very overwhelming in strong flavors that did not work welltogether. It took 20 minutes before our order was taken and 30 minutes of being seated before we got bread for the table.Service was very subpar. I just wouldn?t recommend this place. Read more
Got the Pesto 16", and it was simply delicious. The crust was cooked well, but a little on the soft side. Probably the best part... was the lightly roasted pine nuts on top. Read more
