Our first time in this place and it was pretty good. Our server was slow or new either way we waited a little longer than you... should for him to take our drink and food orders and to get our check. The one thing we didn't like is they when they brought usour check it already had a tip on it. I understand that restaurants do that for big parties but there were only 7 of us and twodifferent checks. That kid made a fat tip for not so great of service because of that and I don't think that's OK. The food wasreally good though and my boyfriend liked the margaritas! Read more
We came here on a Sunday and the restaurant was not busy at all but it seemed as thought there were only two waiters taking on... the restaurant. The menu prices were all covered and there was no explanation but we ordered regardless. Normally we go to theMonroe location so when we ordered the guacamole dip, we expected a dip not just two little scoops on a dish. When our checkcame we questioned and the waiter sent out another older lady waitress just immediately came off super aggressive stating theprice of everything has gone up and portions have gotten smaller and I asked about the menu prices and got no response from her.We will stick to the n monroe location and perhaps managers should address customers when there?s an issue. Once again, El Jalisco has turned out to be one of the better places to enjoy a steak. The chef prepares each one as requested... to perfection. I also enjoyed my steamed vegetables and rice. In fact, the rice was so good I managed to eat more of it than Iusually do. I had weight loss surgery and haven't been able to really eat rice in years but this tasted so good. The portionsare generous and I always leave with a doggy bag (or in my case, a kitty bag). My daughter had the Mexican lasagna which wasalso quite good. Florida has some really good Mexican restaurants and I would rank El Jalisco among the better eateries.Excellent drinks makes this a preferred dinner spot for my family. Read more
Everything was great! I visited around 5:30 on cinco de mayo and waited 30mins to be seated as they informed. Complimentary... chips and salsa tastes good. I ordered chicken fajitas $10.99 special price on Thursday. Food tastes delicious, fresh, largeportions and server was friendly, helpful and the restaurant was very busy. I enjoyed my dinner and they managed very well withthat much crowd. I would recommend this restaurant. Read more
Went to El Jalisco in Southwood during lunch with a coworker and was pleasantly surprised at how quickly we were served. We were... seated right away and our waitress immediately came to the table. The food was hot and came out no less than 15 minutes. We'vevisited several times and will definitely be back. Sn: we arrived a little before 12 to beat the lunch crowd. Read more
