1st time eating here and I was a little disappointed. The taste wasn't the problem, but the quality of my online order was. Both... biscuits were undercooked. It fell apart when I broke it in half. My chicken was also dry. The fried green tomatoes were greasyand the skin was falling off the tomato. The chicken was tasty though. Probably the only good thing I could say about myexperience. Tried the ?five & dime?, a chicken biscuit topped with smoked bacon, cheese, a fried egg, and house made sausage gravy. It was... delectable; very rich and savory. Very busy on a Sunday mid-day but was definitely worth the wait. We had a biscuit and gravy with a fried egg and bacon. The... bacon was candied with their maple syrup. The gravy was a shiitake mushroom- based with a little kick. Also the chocolate chipwaffle was delish. I misread and didn't know it was not table service. You order at the register and wait for your name, wellactually not your name but they use your celebrity crush. Quite interesting to hear everyone else's celebrity crushes calledout. We had a wonderful experience at Maple Street! Everything was so delicious. At Maple Street Biscuit Company - instead of... calling your order by name or by number... they ask you a personal question! Today's question was "What was your first car?" Ithought that concept was so cool & unique! The biscuits and coffee were SO delicious, too! Best coffee I've had so far in town,and my Husband said it's the best chicken biscuit he's ever had. Best biscuits a stone's throw away from FSU! The goat cheese & spinach biscuit is super well done, and the bacon is the best... I've had in a long while. OJ is actually fresh-squeezed, not from a Tropicana carton like some places. Staff are friendly anddon't accept tips (the way it should be, as long as they are paid well!) The food looks great and the picture could fool you but definitely not seasoned and very dry. The service is slow even when only... one in line and 4 employees looking at a you but no one even has the courtesy to acknowledge and say we'll be right with you. Iordered chicken egg spinach cheese biscuit and sweet potato wedges but hence they forgot the main ingredient when serviced therewasn't any chicken.
