My first time at this restaurant was wonderful. A bit of a wait because we were walk-ins so it's best make reservations in... advance to avoid waiting. The food and service was exceptional. the BEST unagi roll i have ever had in my entire life. it honestly just melted in my mouth. we also got one of the deep fried... rolls and it was spectacular as well. the salmon bento box looked absolutely amazing and tasted good too. the sauce that thecucumbers came in was so good it?s hard to put in words. also, the place itself was so pretty. the interiors and everything wasout of this world. Nice looking building! Very clean and food is good! Waiters need more training and be knowledgeable about ingredients and... gluten-free options. For the cost food needs more flavor, I am sorry but that is the cheap cheap taste fries rice andshrimp. Also dinner entertainment tonight was everyone was cleaning near where we were eating. Okay...... Lots to cover but hear me out. This is an expensive restaurant but that's okay the food and service is very good.... Appetizers... we got California rolls and no complaints! Yes, I've been to restaurants that have messed those up, it canhappen! I ordered steak/shrimp hibachi and added sea scallops. My food was great and there was a lot of it, which helps with thebeing expensive ding from earlier. However, two bites of my steak were completely fat. They were small but because it's a flattop grill it was just jiggly fat.....no char no seasoning. ( If you look at the top left piece of steak you'll see one of theall fat pieces) Rice, vegetables, noodles, and miso soup were all amazing and generous proportions. The biggest mark down ording for Osaka is the room is far too big, the tables and grill would benefit from being secluded a little from each other. I'llexplain! The sound of high pitch tinging spatulas, roaring fires, popping grease and loud Birthday celebrations left me unableto communicate with my family sitting right next to me. I would have to lean towards them to hear anything. It turned into a lotof "what did she say", "what", and "that's crazy" ????. Okay, so to wrap this up! Osaka is expensive but I do think it's one ofthe best restaurants in Tallahassee. Food and service is great! If I could give 4.5 stars I would but I settled on 4 because Ireally didn't like the excessive noise from other tables. I'm a introvert so I judge that harshly. Read more
