Tabitha was our waiter! She had some great suggestions and a great attitude. I had already eaten before coming here with friends... thinking I wouldn’t eat a lot. The menu had so many delicious looking options it was hard not to order anything. I ordered theloaded tots for the table and ended up eating most of them! The tots were so good, the cheese was very subtle and there were alot of fried onions on top. I added two of the three bbq sauces that were at the table, sweet and sizzlin, both were delicious. Sonny’s on North Monroe Street catered our daughter’s wedding on 10/22/2022. The delivery was on time and was correct. The... food was delicious, the hot food was hot and the cold food was cold. If we ever need catering again we will definitely use thisSonny’s. Read more
Had a pickup order and the person who gave me my order was upset with one of her coworkers and when she handed me my food I told... her thank you and she didn't say anything. I just thought that was very rude. But the food was great! I gave one star for theservice but I will give five stars for the food. Read more
I am so disappointed with my my dine-in experience. I usually order carry-out and they are always consistent with great service... and food. However, on this past weekend, my co-worker and I decided to dine-in for dinner. Might I mention that we both work fora 4-star local steak house in the area with more than 15 years of foh restaurant experience. When the host sat us down, Inoticed that we were the only 2 black people in the place. After 10 minutes, we still had not been greeted. They sat a familybehind us who happened to white, and they were greeted right away. Once we brought it to the manager's attention, he did notapologize. He just stated he would get us a server. After several minutes, we decided that we would just leave. This representsinequality to the max. Just because we are black, does not mean that we don't tip. Be mindful of how you stereotype people. I did have a good review on this place as it was one of our favorite places to go until recently. We waited an hour the other... night for our food, others who came in after us were serves and left. Our waitress finally said they had a mixup with out orderand was making it now. That was 45 min in. Another 15 and they brought our food. I bit down into my medium well burger thatwas burnt black. My husband went to speak to the manager who said she would fix me one to GO. Thirty minutes later I finallygot it in a bag and we left. It had a burnt spot, but I picked it off and tried to eat a little of what was left. The ladyacross from us said her garlic bread was burnt and both of their orders had cold meat. Cuban sandwich with side of potato salad. The sandwich was so greasy I wanted to vomit. I thought it was only supposed to have... pulled pork but it had sliced pork too (which was tough and fatty). Potato salad - basic but good. Would not recommend thisplace. For just the sandwich, tiny potato salad and drink, it came to $15.36….not worth it. Would never return. Read more
Worst Sonny's location I've been too. Service seemed irritated and the food seemed like it was prepared with no care at all. I... got the brisket sandwich, brisket was cut very thick, toast was burnt on one side and soggy on the other (terrible combo).
