Excellent food! Really beautiful building and decor! Prices are good. We were here on a Sunday afternoon We had 5he BLT and the... cuban. My BLT was amazing! Salty and sweet with the bacon jam (not too sweet). We sat at the bar. Monica was very nice andaccommodating. Some people we really dressed up, but you dont need to be. I imagine this 0lace is hopping at night. Beautifulpatio area! Please l8ke if this review has helped. -Marlene (aka #AtlasJeeper) Read more

The Edison is located at the precipice of Cascades Park, an ebullient and aesthetically green area. The outside decor of The... Edison is reminiscent old school power plants. It’s inner decor slightly subverts your expectations; the lighting iscompletely composed of Edison lightbulbs coupled with light-themed interior design. The “Edison Burger” was seasoned verywell, much to the satisfaction of my taste analogous to many other high quality restaurants. However, comparing the price to theoverall quality of the food, the cuisine severely underperformed. Moreover, the selection of the food items results in a lack ofcreativity amongst the grander foods. In spite of this, the service was cordial and prompt. Our waitress tended to our needs ina suitable and professional manner. What really tainted the experience was the open door adjacent to my table during theevening. The open door, in conjunction with the Edison lights, invited an innumerable amount of flies and other insects duringour dining experience. This greatly impacted our meal as they would fly onto us AND onto the food; a health risk as flies havehistorically caused a multitude diseases. A few of the seats were deteriorating as well, something many fast food restaurants donot even have a problem with. Overall, 3/5 stars. The Edison = MID. Read more

This place is electrifying. After a long car trip, sitting down and getting an Edison Burger was amazing. While the gimmick of... the power plant is lost on me, the atmosphere was unique and certainly different from a generic eat-in chain. Read more

Edison’s was wonderful. I loved the old repurposed building that overlooks Cascade Park. It was a great intro to Tallahassee.... The food was outstanding and unique. The service was great as well. I tried the Boot Camp Pork chop, while my husband had theSeminole Short Ribs. The pork chop was sweet tea brined served on a peach chutney with a sweet bacon jam. Such an unusual blendof flavors that really work. YUM! I am so glad we found this. Highly recommend. Read more

We were greeted by a guy who worked for the restaurant in a rude manner, but I kept my cool. I had purposed to treat my sister,... my niece, and my daughter to a nice lunch while I was visiting my hometown from South Carolina. Thankfully, a young ladyintervened and seated us. There were tables available, but the guy made it seem like we couldn't be served without areservation. The food was plated in a beautiful manner and pretty tasty. The fried green tomatoes were enjoyed by all. I haveenjoyed better food, but the scenery was nice on a brisk February, Saturday afternoon in Tallahassee. Read more

The old power Co. bldg converted to an awesome restaurant/bar along the Cascades. Just stopped by for dessert and a beer (or 2),... but the menu looks great and Lindsay took excellent care of us even though we showed up near closing time. Sorry, Lindsay! Read more

Wanted to try this highly rated place for brunch. The historic re-use of an old power plant is a great setting for this... restaurant and great views. The Edison bulbs are prevalent and are present at each booth table. Brunch was good and so wasservice. I was not happy that they didn't have decaf coffee or any hot tea. I actually walked outside to get my coffee by acafe behind the restaurant. Also strange that water was served in plastic glasses. Rather odd choice for a retro setting.Lastly the "maple syrup" was Aunt Jemima flavored corn syrup. Disappointed for a classy brunch setting Read more

Such a great experience here. The reuse of this historic, light-filled building has such a distinct sense of space. All lights... are fitted with Edison Bulbs, unifying the look. The views over the park are fabulous. I look forward to returning and eatingoutside in better weather. Our party ordered a Cuban Sandwich, seafood skewers, and salmon. Each was well flavored andexcellent. The day we were there, there was a baby shower in the large second floor room. Definitely keep that in mind. Read more
