Visited for the first time last week. I really enjoyed my experience. Definitely some room for improvement, but I would... definitely return to give it another try. The staff was very attentive and friendly. But I did visit during a not so busy time. While I was walking around trying to figure out what I am going to eat, the hostess stopped me and began chatting with me andexplained the menu. Her friendliness and knowledge of the menu made me want to try this place out. I ordered the virgin lycheemojito (I am pregnant for the first time) and that was very good! I was so glad that the hostess was able to recommend that tome. The food was good, hit or miss. I ordered the arepas with meat appetizer. It was okay, different from other arepas thatI've tried. It was like they were missing something. Not too much flavor there, but edible. It felt almost a bit deceiving tocall these arepas. I wouldn't recommend getting these if you are expecting a cheesy, gooey center. This dish left me veryconfused. I wasn't impressed. I then had the lunch special, the chimichanga with rice and beans. I REALLY enjoyed this meal. Iopted for the chicken option, and it was very well seasoned. The chimichanga had a nice, airy crunch to it. And it wasdefinitely filled with deliciously seasoned chicken. The beans and rice were cooked nicely. I thoroughly enjoyed this portion ofthe meal. Lastly I had the tres leches. This was probably one of the best versions of this dessert that I've ever had. It was asuper moist cake, delicious smooth chocolate mousse topping, and a delectable chocolate piece! Everything went so well together! My only suggestion, I was not a fan of everything being thrown into this small cup. It made for messy and frustrating eating. Itried to get every bite together and get the cake more submerged in the liquid at the bottom, but was struggling to do so. So Iwould definitely try this restaurant out again. Just to give it another shot. I recommend getting the chimic Read more

Seriously awesome food and service. Liz, our server was very friendly. Kuddos for Adrian the Chef..OMG.. best octopus ever, so... tender and nice presentation as well. We had a “chocolate old fashion” and a “Alma rose” for drinks and they were great. The spaghettis were delicious, and I love baguette so..that was a plus for me. To close the night let me tell you I give 10stars to the “chocolate tres leches” I can easily come back just to have that. The patio overlooking the plaza is very nice, and the music and atmosphere is very fun and lively. My 5 year old daughter was dancing the whole time lol. Had a greatexperience and will certainly be back! Congrats to Antonio and spouse!! Read more

I gave 4 stars because it took a little bit longer to take our order look like they were short in staffs. The food was actually... great, my favorite was the appetizer beef impanada. The calamari was also good and the burger with fries. Read more

Satisfying Latin Cuisine! We came here for an early brunch and tried a couple of appetizers and an entree. I was looking up the... names but the online menu doesn't seem to be up to date. However, what I can recommend is the picanha, just check out thepicture and give it a try! Read more

My friends and I chose Alma amongst the many options at the mall and have been dissatisfied with our experience. The “queso... and salsa” is just a bowl of hot salsa with half melted mozzarella cheese mixed in. Their “fresh” guacamole looks like, and tastes like, puréed baby food with pico on top. The entrees weren’t great but were edible. On top of all that, theservice was slow. With how many options are available in the area, I wouldn’t choose this again. It was overpriced andunderwhelming. Seriously awesome food and service! The previous reviews made me nervous, but the meal was wonderful. Maureen, our excellent... server, told us they had been making a great effort to improve. It is certainly paying off! We had the yellow rice & beans withcarne asada and the Peruvian ceviche. Oh my goodness… I cleared my plate before I even thought to take a picture, but wemanaged to capture the delicious ceviche. The patio overlooking the plaza is very nice, and the music and atmosphere is very funand lively. Had a great experience and will certainly be back! Read more

I just stopped in to get a snack and wasn’t too pleased with the vegetable croquettes. They literally tasted like they were... out of a box. But they had live music, the place was vibrant and people seem to be have a great time. Read more
