One of my favorite places on South Tampa. I have been here several times. You may need to wait in line so be prepared.indoor and... outdoor seating available. Clean bathrooms. Medium noise level. Bartaco is a very nice hidden gem in the Hyde Park area. The vibe and ambiance was very lively for an afternoon lunch. The place... can get pretty packed, but the food is worth the wait. My wife and I had the mushroom ???? rice bowl made vegan and wow! It wasdo delicious. Bartaco is one of our happy places in Hyde Park! I always, without fail start off with their freshly made Bartaco margaritas... and fresh guacamole. When Covid hit and it was closed I missed them so much I found out their recipe to make at home LOL. Only 4 ingredients all fresh!! Another delicious one that has been my new favorite is their Mezcal margarita, YUM! The vibereminds me of a more coastal than Mexican restaurant which I dig and the staff is always friendly and attentive. I also lovethat the food prices are very reasonable. Most dishes are more tapas style (tacos are about two bites). Which allows you to beable to try multiple items cheaply. I do recommend reservations depending on the time and day that you are going. Although the atmosphere is nice. Service is always lacking. They only serve wine in a can and this is how the tacos were served.... They were tiny servings, which is understood for their menu offerings, but messy presentation. Clearly they sat in the expowindow for quite sometime because they were cold and the shells started getting that gummy texture to them. My entire meal didnot come out at the same time, it was like 15 minutes apart and the other portion of the meal was raw so not sure how that wasntfirst. It was a highly disappointing taco experience at $4+ a taco they could serve them warm and present them better or putthem in metal taco holders. I had a good experience.The food and drinks are a bit pricey for the portion sizes. I like the concept of ordering your food via... app. The food was ready in less than 10min of me ordering. All of the food tasted fresh. Let me you tell you, if you eatpork.....get the pork belly taco. It's amazing!! I'm definitely going back for more pork belly tacos. I had the key lime pie fordessert. Went here yesterday with a friend! We tried the “secret menu” and it was an amazing experience! The drinks had fresh fruit.... I had a mojito and it was PERFECT! Then I had a ginger drink that was non alcoholic and it was extremely refreshing. We ordereda chicken bowl and a pork belly bowl. You can tell the meat had been marinated! There was so much flavor. The peppers had acrunch to them when I bit into them. It’s the freshness for me! The lamb tacos had a little kick to them. Whoever is cookingKNOWS what they’re doing. The staff was very friendly. We were craving for Mexican food and decided to try tacos at Bartaco. We went to the restaurant and the restaurant was very busy... and waiting time was one hour and thirty minutes. So we decided to do a takeout of the order. We ordered Baja Fish, spicedchicken verde, mushroom, cauliflower, falafel tacos, corn wheels with cheese, chips, salsa and guacamole. We got our order in 30minutes. We first started with tacos. The tacos were amazing and one of the delicious tacos we ever had. Our favorite one wereMushroom Taco, Cauliflower taco and Baja fish taco. Then we had our corns. The corns were juicy and freshly done. All in all anamazing restaurant with the beautiful decor and delicious food. Anthony is one of the managers here and he is absolutely amazing. He has so much patience and is so kind! He is one of the only... reasons I keep coming back, besides the incredible cocktails of course. He really deserves a raise for his attentiveness, workethic, and attention to detail.
