Food was great but due to lack of employees (like most places these days) it took a while to be seated and finally had to ask... our server about our salads.. The service was great and food bought out fast. The food was cooked perfectly as ordered and the price not so bad. Everyone... smiled and made you feel welcome. Since moving to the Carrolwood area, I'm pleased to have found a nice chill spot close by where I can have the best of both... worlds, a full bar and comfort food. The Painkiller drink was a Must try! Limited to only 2 orders per person, this drinkdefinitely sneaks up on you! I have a pretty decent tolerance and even I kind of underestimated this drink. Loved the shreddedcoconut honey soaked rim, and the portion of the drink is very generous. Prices of the drinks and food on the menu was also veryreasonable and refreshing to see, as the portions are generous as well. I ordered the chicken tenders and shrimp combo, whichis a great dish for land and sea type. 5 tenders with a choice of grilled or coconut fried shrimp, which I definitely went withthe coconut. (guilty pleasure, whoops!) Paired with 2 sides of my choosing, buttered corn and broccoli cheddar casserole. Reallyloved the dish, the batter was nice and crunchy, tasted like it was fried in fresh oil. The shrimp was the best part, crispywith just the right amount of coconut breading, not overly thick where it'd overpower the shrimp. There's a nice side of saucethat's fantastic for dipping, had a nice spicy kick to it that marries well with the coconut flavoring. I also tried a few bitesfrom my boyfriend's dish consisting of the chicken fried chicken with some mash. We were both pleasantly...and deliciously,surprised by how juicy the meat was, considering that it was made with 2 pieces white breast meat! Again, the batter wasfantastic and extra crispy. Last but not least, I cannot forget to give a special shout-out to the fabulous yet dangerously goodhoney butter croissants! Wow! I had to force myself to hold back after eating 2; the warm, flakey buttery croissant with thesweet drizzled honey butter. *Chef's kiss* Great first experience here, other than waiting a while to be seated during a slowtime, I will be looking forward to frequenting here more! The steak was delicious, but a bit chewy for medium rare, the combination with the chicken tenders was very tasty though. The... mashed potatoes were great, the broccoli was perfectly cooked and seasoned. The service was also amazing and fast. I went with my wife and the 2 kids a 5 year old and 11 year old. We had to wait 30 minutes to get seated which was expected.... While waiting I took and menu and made sure we knew what we wanted before we were seated. When we seated we put the orders inright away. 2 kids meals with a couple of sides, blacken Salmon and a rib and steak combo. We waited and waited and the waitresswas helping other tables but seem to ignore us. I saw electric games on tables to keep kids occupied but we were never offeredany. A hour past by and waitress still ignored us. Groups that cake in after us got there meals and then I stopped the waitressand she immediately started babbling about how the kitchen cooked the wrong meals first and ours are on a priority list. I wasvery upset and was about to walk out but my said what will we do for dinner we have been here going on 2 hours now. 5 to 10minutes layer the kids meals were brought out and the waitress stated at least I got the kids meals and your rib combo iscausing the delay. 2 minutes later another person came out with the rib combo and the Salmon. The Salmon was not Blackened andmy wife looked for the waitress that did not come back to table. I assume she did not want to deal with us. A dew minutes latersomeone else came to the table to ask if everything was OK. I said no but she was a young girl probably another server. Sheasked if we wanted a free dessert and we said no it is to late for the kids to eat a dessert. Then she said she would speak toa manager. We never saw a manager, I did not see any adults working everyone looked like young kids. Then the waitress returnedand said they are discounting the bill. When we got the bill it stated we got an employee discount. The kids liked their foodand my wife said even though the Salmon wasn't Blackened it tasted good. That is why I gave 2 stars. Good spot in the area to check out!! They serve large portions and the food has good flavor??at reasonable prices. Service was... kind of lacking but with the times that we are in nowadays, what restaurant isn?t short staffed. Atmosphere was OK, the bar areais nice which is where we sat at. Marcos is the GM and James was our server. We had the Honey Croissants ???? they were hot and flaky; cheese fries were dynamite... ???? as an appetizer and we ordered steak, ribs, shrimp, broccoli casserole was good and our drinks were smooth. First timethere, we had a ball! Read more
