I really wanted to give it five stars but one thing keeps me from it. The food and service were great but those blue led lights... on the patio are awful. We ate there last night and my eyes still hurt this morning. And a big part of enjoying food is how itlooks. When you have blue lights it sucks the color out of everything. The cheese that came with the pretzels looks likechocolate pudding under those lights. The mustard looks grey and pretty much everything else did too. So as much as we enjoyedthe food and the vibe I couldn't go back there. I'd seriously consider replacing those. Read more
Stopped in for our first time since moving to the area. The place was packed and only a few tables open. Staff was super nice... and immediately spotted me and offered to sit at any open table. The waiter came over as soon as I sat down and was quick andattentive. We got the Parm dinner , fried pot roast app, fried pickles app and the onion rings and a few drinks. Everything cameout quickly! The Parm dinner was really good as well as the friend pot roast and pickles. We were not super fans of the onionrings but they were not bad. The drinks were cold and quickly brought to us. Parking was our only hiccup after a few rounds inthe parking lot and realizing no one was coming out to leave we parked across the street at the bank and kept an eye out for thetow truck ????. After friends are at the St Pete location and highly recommended Dead Bob's, I decided to add it to my "Want to go" list. When I... searched, I was happy to find a location a bit closer for us. It's a small location and the inside was packed, so we grabbed atable on the patio. The service was a bit slow to notice us but once they did, they were attentive. The fried pot roast was sogood, we are it up before even thinking to get a picture. My better half liked it so much, she got the pot roast dinner, and Ichose the Shepherds Pie. Both were fresh, hot, and full of flavor. Prices were reasonable, and we enjoyed ourselves. The onlydraw back, the blue patio lighting made the food look disgusting when it arrived, but lighting it up with our cell phoneflashlight revealed a much tastier looking meal. Lol! Read more

Visiting Tampa over the weekend. We prefer locally owned pubs. We were drawn in by the sign out front. Dead Bob?s too. This has... got to be good. It was awesome. Friendly bartenders, especially Kayla. Food was terrific, prices fair and we had a ball.Definitely will return. Read more
UPDATE: Just 2 weeks later, my meal was dismal. Once again got blackened salmon dish med-rare. Got rice this time. Rice was a... little bland, broccoli limp and undercooked, and salmon ASSASSINATED: A thin, flat hockey puck (thinner, really) that wasEXTRA-WELL. A "salmon cracker." Partner got fish and chips, two HUGE pieces. But when I got it last week, ONE huge piece andone 1/3rd piece. ???? Service still great, but have to take off 2 solid stars for such food inconsistencies! First time todaygoing on a Saturday nite, so they were busy... but *this* level of meal inconsistency is unreasonable still. Plus, they never(ever) seem to answer the phone. So I can't get this right til tomorrow. I trust that the WONDERFUL people there will redo - andget it perfect like the first time! ORIGINAL: Got the blackened salmon medium-rare with broccoli and fries. DELICIOUS andcooked just right. Nice and sizable salmon fillet, cooked surprisingly well for what looks to be a dive. Nice, helpfulbartenders/servers, great drink made (white Russian), though I should've asked for an extra splash of Bailey's and two extrasplashes of kahlua. Fish and chips is GREAT, and fish is HUGE. Great deal for $10. The yellow rice is surprisingly tasty! I'llhave to get it next time. Usually rice sides are a bit bland. But they ASSASSINATED my partner's red snapper. EXTREMELY TOUGHhunk of "meat" that definitely would've been sent back for a redo if we'd eaten in. Definitely wouldn't get that again, evenwith special cooking instructions. The canned beer was also thoroughly lackluster (blonde ale and coffee porter), although ourserver described the sugar and cream porter as "delicious." ???? Giving them a solid 4.5 stars. Read more
Hole-in-the-wall bar with the most FANTASTIC food!! Our first time here and definitely not our last. The place was so packed,... walking in was a little intimidating. A crowd chatting just inside the door, drinking and standing around a small table. Pushed past them to see a table waiting to be claimed on the other side of the room. After taking it for our own, we weregreeted quickly with a lovely smile, given menus and our drink order was taken. Even though every table was full and the barwas stacked we had amazing service. Never an empty glass and everyone came over to check on us, even the cook! Smiling,friendly faces that were more than happy to share their favorite menu recommendations. Tried the Pretzel Sticks; warm, chewyand soft, served with beer cheese sauce and spicy mustard. So yummy. Fish and Chips; crisp, flavorful batter surrounding aflaky, white fish. Cooked so expertly there was absolutely no oil in or on the basket. Fantastic! The Classic ChickenSandwich, ordered grilled; tender, juicy and simply amazing. Added a pound of Steamed Shrimp and couldn't believe how huge theshrimp were or the portion size. Plump, steamed perfectly and seasoned well. This was most definitely a stellar addition toour meal.
