The earl club is a simple sandwich for a person of simple tastes but the method of toast is perfection. It's like the old quizno... style toaster you can see bringing the flavor from one side to the other and you know it is going to be good. Plus the earlsauce is fabulous. Earl of Sandwich is one of the best lunch spots in St Pete. My husband and I come here every Friday for our weekly lunch date... and get the same exact order: I get the Cobb salad and he gets the Italian sandwich. Both are fabulous. The customer service iswonderful and Josh and Will always have a smile on their faces. It?s a low-key, warm and friendly atmosphere with great lunchfood. Love this place....I always order the veggie sandwich....today I was disappointed...I got home sandwich was cold..where usually... it is hot.. I called them and explained my dilemma and he told me maybe it was just sitting there for a while I said no I calledI was driving and said I'd be there in 15 minutes he said perfect I still feel there was no need but that sandwich to be cold..I think they were busy because when I first went up to the counter after sitting there for about 10 minutes I said is there asandwich ready for Susan one guy said no the other guy said oh yeah it's sitting over there so then that tells me it's beenthere and nobody knew....
