Went to Eddie V’s for the first time on my birthday. The food was delicious and service was amazing. We did a date night and... I’m glad we opted not to bring the kids so we could enjoy each other’s company. This restaurant is just one of those datenight spots the kids may not fully appreciate as much as we did. Not saying don’t bring your kids as they do have a kidsmenu. If you are looking for a more upscale experience, Eddie V’s is perfect. We used to live in SC not long ago and I usedto easily get fresh shrimp all the time. Oddly enough, I have had a hard time finding local shrimp here in FL so I tried thejumbo gulf shrimp and they did not disappoint! My husband had the Maine lobster tacos and he really enjoyed his meal as well. We shared the truffled mac and cheese and still had plenty to take home to our teenage son. My one tiny complaint was having toask for the complimentary dessert. The waiter did know it was my birthday and gave us a dessert menu. It was kind of awkwardfor my husband to ask the waiter for the birthday bananas foster but he happily obliged. I most definitely appreciated it. Look forward to going back. Read more
I took my husband for his Birthday. I must say, I was not expecting to sit in the back away from the live jazz, but the food... made up for it. Cutting into the steaks and lobster was like cutting into butter. The food was so flavorful, the Au gratinpotatoes and spinach was amazing. The calamari was different but really good. Me & my long time friend went here. Our waitress Christine was about as perfect as you can get! She initially said she felt our... energy walking up to our table she said could tell we've been friends for a long time. Which is true we've been friends since2007 ????????. Anywho, she just gave us some amazing recommendations and all was a hit! We had crab cakes for our appetizer andman oh man absolutely delicious. We immediately devoured the food the moment it hit the table so I completely forgotten to takea picture. we made reservations for 5pm the wait wasn't an issue. Our food came out nice and hot, the place was amazingly clean.We had absolutely no complaints about our night there & can't wait to return. Read more

We had a fabulous time for my husband’s birthday. Staff is very professional. We had a reservation for a high top table, but... thankfully the front desk asked if we would like a regular table and we said yes! They had a table ready for us in less than 20mins. They decorated the table with happy birthday confetti and a birthday card. The food and wine were exceptional. We weregiven a birthday dessert as well. Very delicious and can’t wait to come back. **Good Customer Service Meets Messy Presentation** From valet parking to entering the building and being seated the beginning... of our dinner started well. The greeters were attentive and everyone knew my wife and I were celebrating our anniversary. Uponbeing seated we met our waiter who did a good job at serving us and answering questions we had. Again he, too was attentive anddid a good job. We ordered the Lobster Tacos as our appetizer (not pictured) and it was delectable and the presentation wasperfect. We were excited for our main courses and then that’s when part of the disappointment set in. First we were almostserved the wrong bottle wine which I caught just before our waiter opened it and then when we were presented with our steaks itleft a little to be desired. If you take the time to perfectly prepare a steak, why would you not wipe the plate clear of theblood? Now, yes we ordered the steak medium and we do expect blood but, what I began to notice was that the attention to detailwas missing. Not only at times from our waiter but, it was missing from our plates. Even our coffee arrived in a bit of amess. The saving grace for this Eddie V’s was that almost everything tasted delicious. I have questions about some parts ofthe desserts like rock hard cookies as a side but, the rest was great. At this price point having spent nearly $300 I wish theattention of detail matched the taste. Read more
