Jerk Hut has been a Tampa favorite for as long as I can remember. I moved down here as a child and we have always gone to the... establishment over on Fowler. Okay, I hate to do this but I?m sure their may be others so I took off a star for false advertisement. NON LOCALS: THIS IS A... FOOD TRUCK, I was unaware that this was a food truck. Not professional at all. Just ordered a family meal, did not even get a welcome or thanks for visiting, plus the lady was on her... phone (Instagram) while taking my order. Authentic Jamaican food like you won?t find anywhere else. The food is served cafeteria style, where you pick your meat and... sides. I had the oxtail, vegetable rice and plantains. The oxtail was fall off the bone tender and full of flavor. Overall thefood was absolutely delicious, one of a kind with hefty portions. The service was not very good, the food is served in astyrofoam box with plastic forks, it is dark and gloomy inside. Don?t come to this place expecting to be waited on.
