My husband and I visited this restaurant while on vacation in Tampa. The food was amazing tasted just like my grandma's. We had... 3 different types of main dishes YeDoro Watt, Kay Watt, Chef's Tibbs these came with other veggie dishes that were placed aroundthe plate served with injera (bread). We also had the veggie Sambusa as an appetizer and it was amazing. Everything is cookedfresh and it was worth the wait. I totally recommend this place. They even sell spices here. If you?re in the area you must try. Read more

Always delicious food, very very kind owners, the music is always lovely and it smells delicious inside! Athena is so sweet and... will always make sure you get something you love, and Ter is a fantastic chef. Many vegan options and they will help you findsomething if it's your first time. Wish I could give them 10 stars :) Definitely try the sambusa and the lemonade! Our familyalways leaves full with leftovers and the prices are great. Read more

Food and service was 5 star!!! Best Ethiopian food I've ever eaten. Had the Veg. Combo. Great balance of spice, acidity, and... savory. The hot tea with a little tea with a little bit of sugar helped compliment the meal in a way I can't even explain. Alsohad Veg. Sambusa app. which was out of this world! Totally recommend!!! If you like flavor and have never tried Ethiopian foodyou can't go wrong. Read more

First time trying this Ethiopian restaurant and it was really delicious. We did a vegetarian and meat combination we had the... chicken beef and lamb, lentils, beets, cabbage and potato salad, everything in top of the typical bread Injera in which thebread soaks in meat and salad juices and tasted delicious. Typically Ethiopian food it's eating with your hands and one plate toshare with your family but if you don't feel comfortable they provide you with forks or whatever. But we wanted the realexperience so we used our hands. We got sambusas for appetizers, one beer for me??????it was great ..restaurant was clean andservice was good, music was????????????we love the atmosphere.. Read more

Wow! After years of not having Ethiopian food, this place satisfied every craving and more! To start I had a hot tea and my... boyfriend had a sweet iced tea. The chai is home blended to perfection, some of the best balance of spices I?ve ever had. Fordinner we ordered the veg combo for two as well as the ye-doro watt(chicken). Everything dish had its own flavors and was cookedperfectly. The chicken slid off the bone and the injera make my water just thinking about it. To make the experience evenbetter, the owner Athena made us feel right at home with her kindness and hospitality. We will be back every time we?re inTampa! Read more

Had the lamb and a vegetable dish as well as a sambusa, and all were incredible! Great place for vegetarians and meat lovers.... The injera wasn't too sour and the food wasn't too spicy. Met the owner and she was so friendly! Would definitely come backsoon. Read more

Injera. We ponder the place of it in our lives whether we know it or not. It is more than a fermented dough. It is a labor of... love; an experience. It is a staple of Ethiopian culture and food. When we visited this beautiful establishment, I was met withwarm smiles of the amazing owners and the authentic Ethiopian decor. From the first bite, I knew this was a mouthful of decadesof culinary wisdom and culture. A big praise to Athena and her wonderful husband who made sure our experience was amazing. Wewill definitely be coming back soon. The honey wine is top notch. ???? Read more
