Don't let some bad reviews scare you from trying this place. This place had the tastiest butter chicken ever! I also ordered... their vegetarian samosas and garlic Naan. It was amazing! Even my son who's not into Indian food loved it. Trust me when I tellyou, the butter chicken was the best I've ever had. The older lady was very nice and the food came fast. I finally found myIndian restaurant and so glad it's close to where I live. Read more

Pathetic food in whole Tampa / central Florida. They served us frozen food, naans and awful biryani. Not sure how this is 4star... restaurant. Owner was complaining that his chef went to India few months ago and this was the reason for awful experience. Read more

It's all in the title. The food tastes authentic and is plentiful. I recommend going during a weekday as it is a small... establishment. The atmosphere is not to impress but is very humble and casual. I highly recommend as I've tried other Indiancuisine places in Tampa and was not satisfied. The owner, Nimesh, is a good man. This was the best meal I have had in ages. I used to go to Saffron when they were at a different location, and I was so happy... when I found out they ended up moving to another spot. Saffron is inside of a gas station, but don't let that deter you. I willdefinitely be coming back soon! I absolutely love their chicken tikka masala. Also, the owner is the sweetest man ever! I alwayshave an positive experience at Saffron Indian Cuisine. Read more

Don't judge a book by its cover! My husband and I found this place at the height of the pandemic. I was skeptical with it being... in a gas station but this was instantly a new favorite for me. I have been coming here about two years. We have since movedabout 30 minutes away and I now go back as a special treat on my off days from work. The owners are so kind and the food, tome, is delicious! Yes, it's a little pricey but the portions are generous and everything is expensive these days. Everything Ihave tried has been good but my go-to dish is the butter chicken. AMAZING! The hardest choice I have to make is how hot I wantit! Honestly, the price is only about a dollar or two more than it costs to buy 10 chicken wings anywhere else, just forcomparison. When you go to Saffron, you leave full (and with leftovers if you aren't a glutton like me) and you get anincredible homemade-tasting meal. I believe the butter chicken is $16.95 now and for further comparison, my husband just boughta meal at Taco Bell for $14. That's just life now, unfortunately. The gentleman and wife who own the restaurant are veryhelpful when it comes to choosing something new to try or if I bring somebody who is unsure of what to order. I like that thegentleman shares personal experiences and even in just our quick conversations, he has taught me about his culture which to memakes the food even more special. I see a few critical reviews now and maybe it's just my bland Irish-American palate talking, but I absolutely love the flavors of this food. I was just there last week with somebody who had never been and we were bothraving about how flavorful all of the spices were! Yes, there is a wait at times which is why I quickly learned to plan aheadand call in my order if I was in a time crunch. Then it's no big deal. The wait is because they cook all of the food to orderand because it is excellent food! In summary, if you go here (and if you like Indian food, you really should go), you w Read more

Totally disappointed. Came here after checking on Google reviews. The gentleman at the counter was courteous and friendly. But... the food is horrible. The two biriyanis were both dry (rice as well as chicken). The rice felt old and the chicken did not haveat least a bit of moisture. Biriyani rice needs to be rich with spices but this was just bland. Coloring the rice doesn't meanit will get tastier. Got two spice levels and the spicy one just had paprika on top of the rice. The yoghurt sauce (Raita) hadragged vegetable parts. Three small Chicken pieces in each biriyani. Saw the owner mentioned that their usual chef is missing.(in some reviews, He also mentioned the same to me). The prices are quite high compared to the food they deliver. (16.99 foreach biryani) My advice is if you are uncertain about the food, DO NOT SERVE. Not recommended. Read more

Don't let the location fool you. This is the best authentic Indian food around. They're super friendly and offered suggestions... on what to try. The food is fantastic. Yes, it's in the gas station, but don't let that stop you or it's your loss. Read more
