Amazing early Christmas dinner at the Smokehouse in Antrim 1844. Food was creative and well executed. Service was impeccable. ... The somalier gave us a couple of additional tastes of wine as well. Cannot recommend Antrim enough for special occasions. Wehave been coming here for years and have always had a great experience. Read more

I recently attended a catered wedding reception at this venue. The wedding ceremony was held outside in the garden which was... beautiful and was enjoyed in perfect weather. We enjoyed cocktails on the veranda. We had the reception in the separate banquetarea; it was beautifully decorated. The smokehouse catering was very good although they gave me the wrong order the first time.they quickly corrected it and brought me out a small steak. The steak was very good but not the best I've ever had and themashed potatoes were cold. overall, it was a venue worthy of consideration for any wedding. Read more

I heard great things about the Antrim Smokehouse so figured it was the perfect place for our 10th Anniversary dinner. I was... sadly very wrong, it was not even close to what it was hyped up to be, the coursed dishes were mediocre at best, again, I wastotally in shock at what came out for us. The best dish was my Wife's Braised Bison. Service was superb but that's all thatwas. It seemed like totally different dishes than what were even recently posted in reviews. I should have known when thisStarter App came out, looking like the frozen food section......... :( Read more

We visited the restaurant for the first time for our 22nd anniversary and I can’t believe a restaurant this good exists in... Carroll County! This is definitely a special occasion restaurant because it’s a prix fixe menu ($92pp on the weekend). Thefood was fantastic! It’s more like a 6 1/2 course meal and if you’re a free one drinker, opt for the wine pairing. I chosethe smaller 3 course pairing because they are full pours. Our server was as also amazing (young, red hair). Gives me hope thatgood service isn’t dead yet! Definitely worth the trip and the cost! Read more

We enjoyed the Smokehouse for our Anniversary. The menu is six courses. We were able to select items for 4 of the courses and... the chef had two courses that he prepared. Everything was wonderful! We chose the 5 wine pairing option which may be a littlemuch for some people but they offered a 3 wine option. Our server was knowledgable. Her timing was immpecable. Around when wehad finished a course and at other tables or in the kitchen so we could enjoy our meal in private. The starter course (chefselected) was miniature spring roll, spanakopita, and beef wellington. As a side note these were 3 options from our wedding at adifferent venue and my wife loved them. So it was nice getting them again a year later. For the appetizer course I had theChevre & Beets. My wife had the Burrata. Both were delicious. The next course (chef selected) was, if I remember correctly (5glasses of wine remember), crostini with eggplant, red pepper and asparagus, parmesan, and a mustardy sweet and tangy sauce. Itwas so good I was a little sad when I finished and had no more. We both got the salad. My wife said it was one of her favoriteparts and she doesn't like fruit in her salad. It was fresh and light perfect for summer. The intermezzo course (chef selected)was Strawberry Cucumber sorbet. It was sweet and crisp. The perfect palate cleanser. The main course did not disappoint. Mywife had the Filet Mignon and I had the Braised Lamb Shank. My lamb fell off the bone, it was so tender. The texture of thefarro and heartiness of the brussel sprouts made sure that there was some crunch. The Filet was cooked perfectly, my wifeordered Med Well. The meat with a bite of the bacon onion jam gave a smoky sweetness that was reminiscent of a backyard barbecuebut was elevated to fine dining. For the final course we both chose the Panache of Pastries. We both agreed the pear ice creamwas the best part. Refreshing and Creamy. It was a home run.
