Had a fabulous dinner and great service two nights ago. Tonight, not so much. We enjoyed the kale Cesar salad so much so that... we ordered it again tonight, and aside from the dressing, it was a completely different salad; spring mix versus kale. Thespring mix wilted under the weight of the hearty dressing and there was minimal if any “kale” in the salad at all. Theserver asked how it was, and I let her know that it was disappointing based on our dining experience from just two daysago. Truly, if you don’t want honest feedback, don’t ask. And don’t pretend to “talk to the chef” or inspect thesalad mix personally. Kale is kale. Spring mix is spring mix. Spinach is spinach. And they are all drastically different. Andmanners are manners. To sit there and argue with a patron reflects poorly on yourself and your establishment. Clearly, neitheryou, the chef, nor management care enough to be honest and own the situation. If the kitchen is out of kale, just apologize andoffer an alternative rather than serve something that is inferior and nothing like what is listed on the menu and then proceededto dismiss honest feedback. You don’t have to love every patron, but you should take enough pride in yourself and yourestablishment to professionally and maturely handle criticism. Escalating vs. deescalating. Figure it out. It’s not thatdifficult. And it will serve you well in the future. Read more

Service was great, if you go I strongly recommend Wendy as her attitude saved our night. Ordered the filet at over $50 and the... quality of beef was sub-par. It lacked any beef flavor, had gristle, and despite being cooked to the proper temp, it was chewy.Had my spouse try as well and they agreed as well. It was a very odd dining experience. Read more

The reviews from last summer were not flattering. We decided to take a chance. The service was top shelf. The food and wine list... was divine. This restaurant would fit right in, in Santa Fe. Taos has a culinary gem, I hope they appreciate what they have. Askto dine next to the fish tank. Read more

We went for drinks, as all of our usual places were full. The drinks menu add some new additions, and the Negroni I had was... delicious, but quite strong. We shared a hummus plate that was good. Just know this is by far the most expensive place in theTaos area for drinks. Read more

This restaurant is fantastic, breakfast is amazing, opted for an adapted smoked trout eggs benedict one morning (GF potato cake... for muffin) and a massive breakfast burrito to-go for our ski day. This burrito must have been nearly 1lb, I had the one withcarne adovada and felt energized the whole day, enough so that I skipped $12 lodge chili at the ski resort and charged hard upuntil the lifts closed. Food comes up quick, never had to wait more than 10 minutes for each course for all meal periods. Staffis on point and was super informative, particularly about Taos Ski Valley itself, we could have made several lift flow errors atTSV but we went as if we had been going for 20 years since Cameron our breakfast server knew all the local details. There are afew negative reviews dragging this restaurant down but one is from a person who may be a timeframe exaggerator and also refersto bread or rolls as bread rolls. The other is most likely unfamiliar with a ribeye. The character of these two negativereviewers should definitely be questioned. My wife and I ate all but one meal at De La Tierra during our stay due to theconvenience, reasonable price, and quality. We never felt the need to go anywhere else, De La Tierra makes El Monte Sagrado atrue Taos oasis. Read more

The look of it is beautiful, a wonderful atmosphere, but terrible service. We ordered quick after being seated, but took 1hour... 15 min. before getting our food. Took 30 min and asking a waiter if we could get some bread rolls and refills on water. Finallygot some brown and serve rolls that were nearing burnt. Our food came, Elk was overcooked, potatoes undercooked. My plate ofribs among other plates in the party was lukewarm at best & blandly seasoned side of polenta. Certainly not the quality you'dexpect for $30-45 entrées. Disappointed. Read more
