Came across Taos Java while visiting Taos on a day trip from Santa Fe. My wife and I were met with a very warm welcome from the... owners and team. A cozy fire was going and we found the shop charming and quaint. We ordered and enjoyed quality americanos andapple and peach empanadas. One of the owners, Clark, was very personable and took the time to sit down with us and share hislocal knowledge and suggest some areas to visit since we were new to town. Definitely recommend Taos Java for locals andvisitors alike and wishing the owners great success with the business! Read more

I am a bicycle tourist on my way to Austin, Texas, after visiting the Grand Canyon by bicycle. I am resting in Taos for a few... days. I passed by Taos Java and heard lovely music played by a gentleman with an acoustic guitar on the covered ourdoor patio bythe front door of Taos Java. When his song was finished, we struck up a conversation about the music! Everyone at Taos Java, customers and baristas alike, was so welcoming and friendly that I could hardly believe it! Taos Java is a gem of an espressocafe with sandwiches, desserts, and amazing espresso drinks. I ordered a cinnamon roll and a latte. Everything was delicious! I highly recommend a visit to Taos Java! What a lovely little surprise! We stopped in here to grab some coffee and a light breakfast since it was near where we were... staying. We were immediately greeted with enthusiasm and quickly helped. The coffee was extremely good and very strong! Plus, Igot the best hot chocolate I've had in a long time. Add in the ability to have our drinks and delicious bagel next to their kivafireplace and you really can't go wrong on a chilly morning! I highly recommend stopping here if you're in Taos (or even justdriving through). Read more

Great local vibes. It wasn?t ski season when I went but this would be a perfect stop on the way up to the slopes as they have a... drive-thru. Lots of options and they have enough for breakfast as well. Plus, whenever I?m visiting New Mexico, I love placesthat serve Piñon coffee! Read more

Very friendly service, thanks to Clarke and Tanya (not sure on spelling!) My rating would not be nearly as high if it wasn't for... their warmth, they made me feel like a valued regular after just two visits where they served me, which wasn't the case when Iwent in other times and interacted with other staff. Taos Java is really lucky to have them. Good Chai and lattes as well, and Ilove the fact that my dog always gets a bone when they see him in the drive through. Read more

This place is awesome!they open early (6am) have a drive through, have tea and coffee options, AND have milk alternatives! I... had a iced Chai tea with soy milk and it was quite yummy. Not too sweet and not too spicy (I believe it is Oregon chai). Theprices are comparable to market but definitely starts getting up there when adding additional flavors or alternative milksolutions. They do get busy so have patience and they also offer punch cards for rewards. Awesome little spot and my go to withearly mornings for the area Read more
