after two tries i have to say this place is not great at all and i will never return. the bartender is arrogant and obviously... hates his job. granted times a hard but….. the food with the exception of the carrot curry soup is pure over priced garbage. igave them the benifit of the doubt the first time but even more disappointed the second time. Super understaffed. I felt bad for the staff and also felt like we were inconveniencing them by eating there since they were so... busy. Our waiter seemed so overwhelmed. Food was so so, definitely not worth the price. Not a lot of vegetarian options either. Read more

We had the very best time at this wonderful restaurant!! Our waiter was a joy, very knowledgeable with spot on recommendations.... He shared a few stories which made our time there so enjoyable. The food... was simple perfection, the best meal we had allweek! I wish it had been open all week, we would have gone there every night. Highly recommended! I'll be dreaming of the BlondeBear Tavern forever. ?????????????? Read more

Really good meal from their sandwich menu. I had the best Reuben ever. The burgers looked good and everyone love their chicken... pot pie, nothing like the frozen food version. Nice choice of beers on tap. Fabulous cheesecake dessert. The wait staff wassuper. I'm looking forward to going back the next time I'm in Taos Ski Valley. Read more

I love this restaurant! We have gone here over the last four years and went at the start of the ski season for a birthday dinner... with our whole family and had an incredible meal! The staff especially John, Kerri and Sid took incredible care of us and Ithink it is the best restaurant in Taos ski Valley. We went back 10 days later since we had such a great experience and trieddifferent things on the menu which were all excellent. The bone in ribeye is one of the best steaks I’ve ever had! I’m veryimpressed with The menu that the chef has created. I recommend this restaurant to anyone that is staying in Taos Ski valley. Read more

Have been skiing at Taos for over 30 years. Have had dinner here half a dozen times over the last 4-5 years. The food and... dining room service were always worth 4 or 5 stars. The last time I ate there will be the "last" both figuratively andliterally however. During our dinner there was a "guest" at the bar (immediately adjacent to the dining area). He wasexceptionally loud and quite irritating. When I asked our server if they could do anything about him, their response wasbasically "That's not part of my job description." So I asked to speak to the manager - who didn't come to me, I had to go tothem. The manager basically told me that the noisy lout was "a regular" and that there wasn't anything he could do about it. So I guess, I'll just take my business over to the Blake, or the St Bernard, where the food is also quite good and theatmosphere more suitable for an enjoyable meal. Heck, for that matter, I'll even take Tim's Stray Dog over the Blonde Bear. Atleast I expect that place to be boisterous and I know that I'll get a great cheeseburger. Read more
