I GREW up eating this place family worked for the company over 20yrs But YEARS AGO they shut down all of our locations in... Va. Soo when i see one while traveling I MUST stop inn to get the buffet its been YEARSss and i must say im not missing a thingthey have turned for the WORST or maybe it was just this location. The smell was HORRIBLE (it did not smell of food ) more like a nursing home and creams. The buffet food looked dry old and stale The window cover was not long enuff to control othersfrom breathing on it , sticky menu's and the host gave us 2 different ones i was like omgg, some of the food looked like someoneused their hands and i wasn't used to seeing blocks of cheese on a buffet ...but ok?????????????????????? It was packed ofsenior's i looked up and seen WHY it was soo many they had a special for them $8.99 while for us it was $15.00!! When i sawthat i went to scan the buffet and decided to leave because it DEFINITELY was NOT WORTH THAT!! In Noo type of way. Nothing tochoose from and looked contaminated Ontop of us sitting there for a while and no one coming to the table to greet us...we gotSAVED!!!! Thannkk Youu. Im sad this is the turn SHONEY'S has taken i will visit other locations for BREAKFAST if i can find onebut this location WAS NOT IT!! Read more

Pam our server was excellent this rating has nothing to do with the service. The food was horrible. this is the worst Shoney?s.... I?ve ever been to. The front of the house staff was excellent. I don?t know what to say about the back of the house. Probablyneed a new food and beverage manager. Read more
Food was fresh and hot. Booths clean but need refurbished. Did see really gross guys a t food bar being gross, informed manager... and it was handled. Good job!! Read more
Stopped at Shoneys I'm Tappahannock at 8:30PM on Monday 6/13/2023 and we ordered the Buffet, it looked pretty good, 10 minutes... later we got salad, went back and the were tearing the entire thing down before we could get any food, no one ever told us wehad 20 minutes to eat dinner!! They didn't even offer us a refund, I assuming they understood when we left the check on thetable and walked out they got the hint. Most Shoneys have closed up around Richmond Virginia, I can't see the few remainingstaying in business. And what's sadder is they didn't care, period! I gave them one star, but really deserved a 0.. Coming back from a trip south we ventured in to have breakfast with the family. It was across the service station we had stopped... to refuel so it was in the perfect place. The employees at this location are very friendly and welcomed us with smiles theyaccommodated us at a large table near the all you can eat bar. We ordered breakfast from the menu the coffe was good the foodwas not the greatest but for a hungry stomach it was fulfilling. Not a place to look for fancy gourmet food but friendly enoughto enjoy a good morning cup of coffee hashbrowns, susage and pancakes. Read more
