This was such a pleasant surprise! The restaurant is a respectable upper scale restaurant. The location, ambiance, food and... service were top notch! James was our bartender/server and he was pleasant, prompt and professional. He helped us makes our foodchoices and he was spot on! The food was spectacular! We had the scallops as an appetizer and it was a perfect size for myhusband and I to share. We also shared a salad, as well as the osso bucco. It was cooked to perfection. Great flavors! My husband Dan and I finally got to celebrate several belated occasions with our family. My daughter chose Currents. We were NOT... disappointed. My wife and I went for our anniversary dinner last night. We didn't make a reservation which is recommended especially for a... Saturday night, but we were graciously seated at lovely table with a great view of Tarpon Ave. Our sever was so polite andpleasant. She looked liked a young version of the actress who played Aunt Becky on Full House. We had a couple of theirsignature cocktails all delicious and very reasonably priced. My wife wanted the escargot appetizer although I was hesitant itwas delicious, the mushrooms and cream sauce were a great compliment to the escargot. The meals seemed to be a bit pricey, butthe portions are outstanding and well worth the price. I had the osso bucco with grits. The meat was perfectly cooked andseasoned, it fell off the bone and melted in my mouth. My only complaint was that the carrots were a bit salty, but who cares,because the meat was so darn good. My wife had the duck, potatoes, and corn. Her duck was also cooked to perfection. The meatwas super tender with a crispy skin seasoned well and topped with a blackberry coulis which added the right amount of sweetnessto the savory duck. Her sides were great as well. We had my bridal shower here last week and I cannot say enough wonderful things about Cami & her staff! She was an absolute... delight to work with, the chef was so willing to work with my dietary restrictions and wow was the food good! I still havepeople talking about the food! This place is so cute!!! I loved it so much! We sat at the bar and our server/bartender (Alma) was the best! She was taking good... care of us and the tables around us. She’s incredibly capable while maintaining a heart-warming attitude the whole time! Wereally enjoyed this. The drinks here was amazing too! Alma made the most delicious drinks; I highly enjoyed them. The food and drinks are fantastic and the entire staff is so friendly & attentive. I was a vendor at Currents 12 Year... Anniversary party & it was by far one of my favorite event venue spaces! The history behind the building makes it so unique &the gourmet food creates an atmosphere that you just don’t get in many event halls. Seeing the old picture from around 1902 ofthe original Motion Theater in Tarpon Springs was really neat. You can feel the energy in the room.
