Quaint and unassuming, host and chef was very friendly and served quickly. Slightly more expensive then I'd have wanted, but... tough to find anything cheaper with as much quality in LA. The chicken shawarma was juicy, tender, and light, flavored withfragrant but not over-powering garlic forward seasonings, which made it difficult to put down before it was all gone! Thefalafel is made the brown-style, fresh and creamy with each bite. The cumin shows itself front and center - to be enjoyed as itis or balanced out with the tahini served in its accompaniment. Was treated to a sample of the hummus without accoutrement, andI was delighted by its smooth and fluffy texture, lightly coating the mouth with a very present tahini (sesame) flavor - thebest in LA, perhaps only second to what I make at home in Israel ???? Took my parents here last night and we loved it. The food was amazing, some of the best Lebanese food we?ve had in the US. And... that?s coming from my picky Lebanese parents. 10/10 must try!! Read more

The beef shawarma at Mona?s kitchen was superb. Probably the best in LA and the closest to authentic Lebanese style... shawarma. The meat had crisp but not overcooked and the tahini sauce was great. The wrap hd the proper ingredients for asuccessful explosion of flavors in your mouth. We want to come back and have a full feast with more than just Shawarma. The bestof all is that George who is the owner I think was extremely nice and friendly and cane outside to ask me how the sandwich wasand if I needed anything else. Highly recommend this place for Lebanese cuisine. Read more

Mona?s was a great find and I'm a picky eater. I saw my people's (Armenian) food in the area and came to what I thought was... Sasoon Restaurant, but turned out it was replaced with Mona's. Lebanese, Armenian, same thing, so I decided to give it a go.It's rare that I find a place that serves delicious hummus and beef kabobs. Thank you for being one of very few on my list. Theplace had a few groups of customers dining in during lunch hour and it seemed to be run by an elder gentleman and ahost/waitress. The gentleman greeted me and took my to-go order. Although the beef kabob was above average cost, it was alsoabove average quality and taste. The kabob was marinated and cooked to perfection. The salad was dressed exactly how I like it.And the hummus was as good as it gets. My only comment to ownership is - please provide your take out customers more durableutensils. I absolutely despise getting cheap utensils that can't even stay steady by a grain of rice. I'm sure nobody enjoyshaving utensils like that. Read more
