Traveling for 1000 kms from Niagara and pulled in to rest with 8 people looking for 4 rooms and owners stated he did not want us... there because they have people that work and get up at 5 am. Management and customer service is very poor and would notrecommend to ANY passing through. Read more

Horribly rude people who yelled and screamed at us when we parked and tried to get a room All 4 of us will relate their... experience with this 1 out of ten place I believe they have a lot of fake reviews and don't have a high rating at all. The realreviews reveal the utterly unfriendly attitude of the management of this place Please dont stay there unless you are desperatefor a place to stay as this place needs to get new owners or go out of business and get managers who love people They ownerswould be better to train for a career as prison guards or border crossing personal Better still take some courses in humanrelations and go and get councilling Read more

Stayed a night in between my drive from Thunder Bay to Ottawa. Nice room. Very clean. Ordered a poutine after I checked in and... staff was great enough to bring it to my room :) Very nice and pleasant staff! Literally just off the highway so it made itvery convenient to get back on the road again in the early AM. There was traffic noise, obviously from being close to thehighway but it didn't bother me and I slept very well Overall great experience amd would stay here again Read more

Room was small, but clean. Washroom small, but also very clean. The old barnboard flooring was attractive. Only real downside... was the proximity to the highway, lots of truck noise. I get supply runs to the Macassa mine up the road every so often, so I'llprobably book here again. Read more

I have been staying here a lot for work. Clean rooms, that feel very comfortable and home like for me. The restaurant is also... very nice and the food is A+. I thoroughly recommend the fish & chips. All and all. Probably the best motel to stay at within10 minutes of Englehart. I?ve really enjoyed all of my stays thus far. Read more

We visited the restaurant for lunch. We had the recommended fish and chips. It was fairly good but the fish portion is too small... for an adult. It was not what you would expect for the price of $16. To be fair the the fish was perfectly prepared and deservesa 5star. The restaurant has a great ambiance and decorations. You can see from the pictures it is partly like a museum. The mostannoying thing and thus the 3 star is the smell of the frying oil in the restaurant. On top of that not the most welcomingwaitress. Had a very nice and pleasant stay for two nights. Was greeted by the friendly owners who both were generous and kind. The room I... stayed in was immaculate. Nice dark wooden floors and carpeting, new comfortable bed, and just had that northern Ontario flair,as if I was at a cottage. I very much enjoyed the peaceful solitude and look forward to going back. Thanks for a great stay! Read more
