I have taken many visiting friends and family to experience this legendary bbq over the years. This is the place to get the best... ribs, both beef and pork, in possibly all of central Texas. That said, the brisket has seemed drier as of late, and the sidesare middling. Lastly, the line seems to crawl a little more than similar BBQ meccas around the area, but it's easy to show upearly and beat the lines. Make it a Saturday morning trip sometime, you won't regret it. If you are in the mood for anything BBQ this is the place for you. This place has a ton of options that are sure to meet... anyone's taste buds. The brisket was melt in your mouth deliciousness and went incredibly well with their house BBQ sauce. Themac and cheese was rich and flavorful as well as the cole slaw. They even have a stuffed potato that you can get loaded withcheese, meat, and sour cream. The line was a little long but well worth it! Read more

First time going to this restaurant and it was good. I arrived on Saturday before it opens and a line was outside. My spot in... line was not too bad but it took an hour before I reached the counter to order. Restaurant manager who was working the orderswas very nice and talkative ????. Ordered brisket, sausage (original & jalapeno), potato salad, mac & cheese and the pintobeans. If you feel like taking a little road trip for some BBQ check out this place. Next time I might get the beef rib sincethey are known for them. Read more

We arrived from San Antonio on Sat about 1105am. Already a line of about 15 people so not as crowded as we suspected. Line to... order was a little slow. They have a specific procedure of ordering, getting food, paying so be patient. Food all in all wasgood. Pulled pork sandwich was better than the chopped beef sandwich. Potato salad was good. Coleslaw had very little, if notaste/flavor. Macaroni & cheese was a hit with everyone. Link sausage-original was good. We will try the other BBQ jointmentioned on Google reviews. Spacious place, fills up quick and sells out quickly. Great friendly service here. Give them a try???? Read more

Moist brisket was excellent, melts in your mouth. The jalapeno sausage was also good. They have cups of drippings that I thought... were way better than the sauces on the table. We will definitely be back. Read more

You can't visit Texas and not get the BBQ. Our business was in Taylor, TX and the go to spot is Louie Mueller BBQ. We had no... idea what to expect and that was part of the allure. We later realized just how iconic Louie Mueller's is. As you can see fromthe pics the place looks like the inside of a smoker. The walls permeate with the sweet smell of smoked meat. The air layerabove our heads had a noticeable haze of smoke especially noticeable when hit by sun beaming through the smoke tinted windows.Even the business cards and pictures on the walls were discolored due to the constant exposure of the magic smoke vapor. We bothgot the brisket sandwiches. It comes with sauce and bread. We also ordered the mac and cheese and coleslaw. Just for kicks wealso got the jalapeno sausage. I'm not going to gush and drone on here. But let me just tell you this was one of the best BBQexperiences ever, hands down. Everything was made to order. Noting was waiting under a heat lamp. Moist, delicious brisket.Prices are not cheap, but you need to consider that BBQ is a very labor intensive process. I'll stop here as this place has beenreviewed by every major publication in the food universe. 10+ stars!!!!! Read more

Louis Mueller's is absolutely world class BBQ, but mostly in line with many other quality BBQ places in and out of Texas. What's... uniquely theirs, sets them apart and absolutely worth the trip is the to-die-for beef ribs, which I affectionately callBrontosaurus ribs. They use back ribs, but without trimming the ribeye meat. They are enormous, expertly smoked and DELICIOUS.You don't have to travel far in Texas for good brisket, pork, and the like, but you have to make the trek to Taylor for the bestbeef ribs I've ever had -- so worth it!
