The food here is good but the service is not the best. It always seems that the women serving the food have a bad attitude. They... definitely need to do better with their customer service. On the other hand I only come here because they have a betterselection to food in comparison to the other restaurants in the area. I must say normally I'm not interested in Golden Krust with trying to experience authentic West Indian food but this particular... location in Teaneck Jersey by far is no regular Golden Crust. it is Top Notch authentic West Indian food. The rest of therestaurant the layout & the service is second to none. In particular I've experienced being served by Aisha and she reallytreated me with first class service. Even changing my mind on a few different dishes she did not get upset, throw things, slapmy food around. I got TLC from her and portion size was really beyond the normal. Ordered and paid for two orders of chicken soup online while I was sick and when I arrived was told there was a problem they had... no more soup. That was fine so they refunded my money and sent me a receipt. Fourteen days later and still no refund, I evenreturned to the store and was told to call my bank as they (Golden Krust) show it was issued. My bank has no record of therefund and now I have to dispute it with my credit card. This is not right that I the customer now have to follow-up on thiswhen it wasn't my error. I have been very cordial throughout the entire process but wonder why there is no level ofaccountability for Golden Krust? Read more
Staff extremely rude. We stopped in last night for dinner. They ran out of rice, we tried to order medium meals. Was rudely told... only small available. We were told we could sit inside ( we had 2 toddlers with us) and when we sat we were then Told we couldsit outside in the dark at tables on the side of the building. No signs posted that indoor dining was not permitted and thechairs were set up for people to sit. Food was disgusting. Only bones in gravy over steamed veggies. Not one piece of meat onthe chicken. Highly disappointed. Management needs to hire people who have customer service skills and the TIP jar is a joke.Who wants to tip rude people. Read more
The beef patty was terrible. Half way through you get a bite of the meat. The cherry cake was good but too sweet. The soda was... also too sweet. Overall the food made me nauseous. Even though I'm pregnant they did not allow me to sit in the regular chair.Only the high stool which was impossible to sit on at 9 months pregnant. Terrible customer service. Read more
This the 3rd time coming here all the way from Edison, NJ. The service is what makes me come back when I'm in the neighborhood... because finally there's a Jamaican restaurant where the workers are so pleasant and don't have an attitude. I will always goback once their customer service stays this way. And my food tasted do fresh this evening. You can taste the fresh ginger thefood was cooked with. I love that! The mango passion juice had fresh ginger in it as well. Please keep up this good service. Read more
I do enjoy the food at Golden Krust but the team at this location needs to improve. If you don?t have an item that comes with... the food, I think it?s right you let the customer know. Let the customer decide if they want to pay full price for an incompletemeal. This is the second time this is happening to me. They had no cabbage, at 3:30pm?!? You are a Caribbean restaurant. Atleast tell me, don?t just give me rice and fish then give me an attitude when I ask for cabbage. Hopefully, the team can work ontheir customer service. Read more
