Had my daughter’s wedding there on Saturday night, it was absolutely perfect! Theresa, the event coordinator, was amazing,... nothing was too much for her and she went out of her way for everyone! I covered the photography service at Rising Sun Inn in October. It was a beautiful setting for getting ready, first look,... ceremony and reception. The staff were extremely helpful, and so friendly. They put a chaise out for us, I loved the decor inthe barn which just transformed the place. Highly recommend, and I hope to return for more wedding photography. Wife and I had an opportunity for a "date night" without the children. I suprised her with RSI. It was our first visit. We ate... in the tavern since we didn't want to get too fancy. The tavern/bar was quite casual but warm with natural wood pannellingsurrounding. Also glad we did the tavern because the dining room was empty by 8pm on a Saturday night. Otherwise the tavern hada good crowd beyond 8pm so we didn't feel rushed at all. We were both very pleased with the menu options, which has a number ofbison options, yet there was everything from comfort food to pasta to seafood, etc. There were at least 6 dinners that Ipersonally would have tried on any given night, and they had 3 "specials" available in addition to the menu choices. I had thebison pot roast. The wife had the bison tenderloin with lump crab. Both meals were delicious and came with tasty sides and salad(Wedge) and bread, so portions were perfectly adequate and prices were reasonable. We used to enjoy this place. Food is good. Service is so so BUT the kicker for us recently is the outrageous price increases. My... husband and I sat at the bar. We had 3 drinks each, appetizer, salad with bison, burger & Fries. Our bill was $150 ???? We justhad the exact same meal at another local establishment, Food was better and bill was 1/2 the price. Attended for a smaller wedding. Service and food were amazing. The staff all seemed super supportive and helpful. Outdoor... wedding backed up to open land with a bison and lots of deer. Barn and its decorations were amazing to support cocktail hourdownstairs and dinner upstairs. Read more
Food was ok but not super impressive. Like what mentioned in a lot of previous posts, their homemade raspberry dressing tasted... awesome. My short ribs (didn’t look like short rib but a piece of tenderloin) was not so flavorful but onion rings on top werevery tasty. Read more
This is a beautiful Inn in Telford. It is kept in pristine condition but the best part is the food. It is excellent. I've... never had a bad meal there. It’s my fault. I told friends I never had a bad meal here. Tonight I did. Prices have increased a lot, plus soup or salad is... now extra. OK, understood. Both hubby and I ordered twin lobster tales at $51 each. Picture below is exactly how it came out ofthe shell - in tiny pieces. We called over the waitress for an explanation, and she went to ask the chef. He told her “maybehis knife slipped and cut too deep taking it out of the shell”. Not unless it slipped twenty times. She offered to make a newone, but that always takes long and my husband would be sitting there waiting for me. So I put a piece in my mouth, and it wasthat mushy meat that I immediately spat out.
