My sister told me that this place had the best tamales and that I would love them. So I made the drive from Arizona and she... was right. They are very good. Especially the chile verde that you can put over them. Don't forget the chips and salsa aredelicious as well. Read more

I have eaten at Nana?s Tamales once with my husband and we both enjoyed our food. Hubby had chicken tacos and said that these... are the best chicken tacos. I had a tamale plate and it was good. The restaurant is modest and has no customer restroom. Also, beware that they charge you 3.5% for using a credit card, but do not tell you upfront. I found out when I looked at my receipt. Read more

Ok ,guys ..here I go again . Who doesn't love Tamales?? Well if I could Id marry them lol. I happen to come by Old Town... Temecula and was Huuungry. ..first thing I see on my left is Nanas Tamales... I said why not ,there is never a bad time forTamales. As I walkes in I was actually greeted by this enthusiastic and beautiful woman ..with a big smile .. MichelleAnn. Immediately she let me know what she had fresh and hot .. I went for the Pollo and salsa verde and 2 pork in red souceTamales. I didnt add anything else to them ,because as a good reviewer..I wanted to taste the masa , then the meat ..withnothing else interfering. Man ..the first one Pork tamale ..as I tasted the masa and rolled it around in my mout ..it was masaquebrada as they should be ..soft and moist .. and not a harsh taste of Manteca . ..not greasy ..just bam deliciosa masa..themeat was so tender and shredded..had the right amount of kick to it ..and let me tell you ..it was not all masa..very wellfilled..la verda delicioso. I then tried the chicken ..no pues wooow..it did not disappoint aswell el pollo nicely shredded andseasoned ..the kick just on point and the masa...man..les digo la masa and fillings were chingones...seriously.. The place isone of thise whole in the wall places ..best kept a secret ..but ..I had to share.. you guys have to make in ..if you are everin town .. and for those foodies out there .she also makes a whole lot of variety..from vegan to sweet Tamales. Its a must try!! Sorry I kinda ate my tamal..before I could take a good picture..it was that good . Read more

Wow! We were able to go to the Grand Re-Opening back in March. Our friends told us about Nana's. We were skeptical because we... have family members who make excellent tamales. However, this place is fantastic! I was able to meet Michelle. She gave us a rundown of who she is, what she stands for and her passion for her restaurant. 10/10 would highly recommend. Read more

You get what you pay for. It?s a small kitchen and they make everything by hand. Frequently runs out of the most popular dishes.... This is not a fast food place with a cookie cutter menu and cheep pricing. I had a great experience here today. CongratulationsNana?s Tamales New Mexico Style Foods on winning the great American cook off On The Good Dish. I did have the winning dish todayin the photos. Red Pork Tamales with Green Chili the perfect portion size and magnificent family style flavors right out of anhonest kitchen. Thank you Michelle. Read more

So this was my wifes and my first time at Nana's Tamales and Catering a restaurant in Old Town Temecula that has New Mexico... influences. My wife enjoys Tamales so I wanted give Nana's a try. I tried the Christmas burrito which would allow me to try twodose. The burrito half chile Verde and half chile colorado served wet with red and green sauce. The burritos was great willdefinitely have again. I did like the chile Verde more, its very flavorful being made in the New Mexico style with hatch greenchilies. As for my Wife's Tamales, she had beef, pork and a sweet one. My wife really really enjoyed the beef and porktamales. She enjoyed them so much she's already planning her next trip which is suprising for her. As for the sweet tamale, shedecided against trying it and gave it to her grandson but I didn't hear how he liked it. Read more
