Marina was a very nice server! The food was great..I really liked the grilled octopus salad and the almond cookies were... fantastic as a takeaway for my latte later. I wished they had pistachio cookies available..maybe next time!???? Read more

The service we had while there was pretty bad. The staff seemed to be prioritizing a specific table over everyone else in the... restaurant. It was very clear they were regulars or friends. We came in at 2:19 and didn't receive waters are until 2:38. We hadto ask for bread. We didn't get asked for our order until 2:49 after we called someone over to say we were ready. They rarelychecked in on us. The food tastes great and is very authentic, and not Americanized. The one complaint I have with the food isthe outdated plating technique. The use of parsley, or basil, to decorate the rim of plates is very dated. The dish appearanceswould be greatly elevated without it. The place is also very clean and the atmosphere is nice. We enjoyed such a wonderful dinner here tonight. The menu is loaded with tantalizing choices - a return visit is a must because... I want to try so many of them. We ordered the specials (a rib eye smothered in a delicious gorgonzola & pepper gravy overroasted vegetables and a fabulous chicken risotto with artichoke hearts that's nothing like the thick and pasty risottos foundelsewhere) and they were amazing. The portions were generous and very satisfying. The staff was attentive and personable, andmade the night's dining experience one I look forward to repeating again soon. Read more

I can give you several reasons why one should visit Old Town Temecula. The scenery has that relic style structures, more of an... old western vibe to it for one. Second, taking a leisurely stroll throughout this town can be relaxing, while working up anappetite. What better way to suppress that appetite, then to visit Il Tramonto Ristorante. Formerly Palumbo's Ristorante, Markand his family transformed this into a Sicilian style cuisine, with Sicilian dishes, which is a rarity around here. As weentered Tramonto we were greeted by the hostess who brought us to our table. While we were perusing the different options ofendless enjoyment, we had the opportunity to see what others had ordered for their table. Let me tell you our mouths began tosalivate just looking at the presentation from these dishes. While we were enjoying a several glasses of wine let me just tellyou what we enjoyed this fine evening. Antipasti (appetizers) *Arincini ~ An Arincini is basically a rice ball that has beenfried, which stuffed with whatever your creative mind can come up with. Tramonto makes it with chopped portobello mushrooms,along with a peppercorn sauce for your dipping pleasure. **Side note at the bottom** *Caprese Salad ~ In case you do not knowwhat it is , this is a salad with fresh mozzarella , tomatoes, and basil. Dressed in an oil and balsamic, but with an addedfeature. The added feature was an avocado spread that was amazing. *Sicilian Bruschetta ~ This was another winner , with theuniqueness I've never seen before. A fig and pistachio spread over top a fresh bread with ricotta as a base that was simplydelightful. Primi (Main courses) *Chicken and Artichoke Picata ~ Simply delicious, a dish that needs to be ordered.
