My husband and I had a fantastic meal. I had the Drunken Shrimp and he had the Ravioli. Both meals were exactly what we wanted.... Prepared beautifully. Our server was great. I was very pleased to find out the restaurant serves their full menu even though it was late night. So many places close early... in NL so it's nice to be able to get great food at like 1030-11pm ???? Took my mom and brother there so we could enjoy a meal and a view of Lake Temiskaming while visiting family. Service was quick... and friendly and the food was fabulous (pickerel dinner done to perfection)! We were shaded from the sun while enjoying thespectacular view?. Had dinner tonight here with my sister, my girlfriend Erica, and my sisters boyfriend . First off, it took the waitress over 20... minutes to come ask us what we wanted to eat. Some time after, I asked for a refill on water and 15 minutes later, there wasstill no water so I had to ask another waitress and she came right away with a new water. Food was good but customer service isnot good. This was around 8pm and it wasn?t busy so there was no excuse for poor service . Read more

28 on the Lake is one of my two top favourites in Temiskaming Shores. The Prime Rib is absolutely perfect! I have tried various... menu items from nachos to Prime Rib and quite a few items in between. Service is always great, food is top notch and the viewfrom the patio is wonderful. Don't miss this one. Terribly slow . We waited for our appetizer for 25 minutes, and waitress came to confirm our order at 30 minutes and informed us... they were sold out of prime rib, then asked my husband if he would like a strip loin steak instead..... he said NO. She cameback and said your in luck we still have 2 left, 60 minutes later we are still waiting!!!!!!! To make matters worse when weasked for our bill the waitress stated " I'm just waiting for your bill to be adjusted..... I charged you for a strip loininstead of prime rib ..... so she made a mistake and lied instead of being honest about her mistake..... TERRIBLE !!!!!!!! Anddidn't get Yorkshire pudding because they were out , got serve 2 burnt pieces of plain baguette. SMH. Not the service we wereexpecting at all !!! Met an old friend to catch up over some chicken wings and beer. Now I might be a bit biased because they had Creemore on tap but... even if they didn't I would give this place a wonderful review. Service was exceptional and the staff were very professionaland kind. Wings were delicious. I had a pound of maple bacon and a pound of hot. The atmosphere... Last time we were here was 10 years ago and we were going to college in Haileybury. It was called Roosters then and has since... gone through a name change. Name might have change but the quality in food is still stellar if not better. Our waitress wasgreat, very prompt and cheerful! Views were amazing! Can?t wait until we can come back! Read more
