What a treat. This place was referred by a work colleague. She knows all the best places in Terre Haute. She said to pick up a... bucket of pasta and bread to take home so I did. This is a great suggestion from "the Georgia list". The chicken was fantastic.Everyone loved the meatballs. We will try dining in next time to try their wine selection. Parking is around back. Watch yourstep as you enter. The meals are enough to split with two people. I order 2 entrees and a salad for 3 people and had plenty.Ciao! Read more

Service was real slow despite an empty restaurant, I received the wrong salad with stale croutons and the lettuce tasted like it... hadn?t been washed. Food was low quality for price. There was a bug in my partners drink and to make up for it they gave usdessert that was so dry you couldn?t eat it. The bathrooms are absolutely disgusting, flies and waste everywhere. No changingtable to change my daughter. Out of papertowels as well. 2 out of the 3 stalls were not working. Sink water also didn?t get warmeither. I hate to leave a bad review but honestly I was so disappointed and disgusted. The google reviews had me expectingbetter. Definitely picked the wrong place to eat at tonight! Read more

My little girl and myself. I had the eggplant parm, she had the kids spaghetti. Our plates were heaping, we had to take some... home but it was great the nest day as well. It's close to home so we make make this a regular spot. The service was excellent. We were well taken care of but not to the point of being interrupted while we dined. I wish I'd gotten the servers name so Icould give her a personal shout out..thanks! Read more

Great Giorno is a local Italian restaurant in Terre Haute. The restaurant is in an old bank. The original vault and the teller... windows are still in the building. You can reserve the bank vault for a more private dining experience. The owner was in thebuilding and greeted us personally when we entered. He was interested in speaking with us and spoke with us about how he gotinto the culinary arts and ended up in Terre Haute. He told us all of his chefs are actually trained chefs and not just someoneoff the street. Owner, Chef Jimmy, assured us that his intent is to take care of his customers. The food was very good. Therewere only two rolls brought out to the table. Initially I thought this was odd, but after realizing these aren't your typicalyeast rolls you get at a chain restaurant, I understood. These rolls are dense and heavy. They were a welcomed change to normaldinner rolls. Chef Jimmy had mentioned that the restaurant goes through approximately 600 lbs of chicken a week. I thought thatwas a very large amount. However when I saw what my buddy got as a serving for his chicken Parm, I could totally see why. Theserving was massive. Definitely enough to share. The chicken was cooked well and had great flavor. I ordered the seasonaldish, shrimp and scallop linguini. It came in a marsala sauce and had a very slight kick of heat to it. The sweetness of themarsala sauce paired nicely with the spice. The shrimp were slightly overdone and a little on the chewy side, but the flavorwas excellent. Chef Jimmy let me know his wife bakes the baklava herself, so naturally I had to try some. It was very good. Theoutside wasn't as flaky as some I've tried, but all in all, a good baklava. We didn't notice any sort of sewer smell whilethere. It's also difficult to get good help and I'm sure there is quite a bit of turnover waiting tables regardless of therestaurant, so knowledge of the menu may be a tough subject to grade the staff on. I can tell you Chef Read more

I was pleasantly surprised that they had gluten-free pasta. My waitress was so sweet but wasn't aware of what items on the menu... were dairy-free or gluten-free so we had a relay race going with the kitchen. The food was really good once it was sorted out, though my wait was over an hour to get the meal. Read more

I had been wanting to try this place for a while and once I did, I was NOT disappointed. We started with the bread dipped in... olive oil, parmesan & herbs. Oh my. It was very good. We then had the mozzarella fritti (fried cheese sticks) and they weredelicious. The meals my family tried were the pepperoni pizza, spinach ravioli with red cream sauce, shrimp scampi and the spicyshrimp and scallops with marsala wine and garlic, which was a special for that evening and not on the menu. We all absolutelyLOVED our meals! Each dish was full of flavor and it was hard to stop eating! This place has one of those menus that you can'tdecide between the meals because you want to try it all. We will definitely be back! Read more
