Stopped on our way to Cincinnati and it was fantastic. Casual, you order at the counter and they serve it up there. Drunken... chicken and Voodoo chicken were great. They also offer samples so you can pick your heat level. Would be a regular if I livedhere. Read more
In my opinion, one of the best dining experiences in Terre Haute. I will gladly drive an hour for a Jean Lafitte po boy.
Locally owned franchise, owners work in the store. Great Cajun themed menu offering from mild spice to hot. Vegetarian option... available. Lovely decor, reasonable pricing, satisfying food. A great lunch time stop. Read more
Amazing meal! We?ve never experienced a gumbo/Creole focused restaurant. The staff was awesome! They allowed us a small taste... test to determine what we would enjoy. Ultimately, the food was hot and tasty! I will 100% add J. Gumbo?s to my ?must-see? listwhen traveling in central Indiana. Read more

It was phenomenal, they let me try samples and I ended up getting the gumbo and my boyfriend got the voodoo chicken po boy it... was spicy, powerful, and flavorful. I'm excited to try something new next time. The layout of everything made perfect sense too,from the drink station, leftover containers, extra sauce, and the dirty dish collection area.
