Right away our waitress was not friendly at all.I explained to her I had left my at home could she help me with menus. All she... said was we have fish ,chicken shrimp with that i said do you have steaks, yes.so I continued with we want 2 salads, greenbeans, 2 ribeyes and one basket of fries. She brought the meal an never asked if we wanted steak sauce etc. So the horror began.I kept taking bites and chewed and chewed until I had to spit each bite out.She came to table and asked if everything was good.I?ve never done this before but I couldn?t hold back, so I showed her my plate and explained it was very tough all the while my81 year old husband was trying so hard to cut thru his and I said to her look he can?t even cut into his steak. The green beanswere terrible ( just like just poured out of the can) she asked us if we wanted anything else, we couldn?t decide so justordered 2 hamburgers ( must have been from same cow. Burnt on edges and tasteless. After waiting another 1/2 hour. Didn?t eatit! All in all was a terrible experience. I took him there for a birthday steak. The salad, French fries and 2 beers were goodbut I had to pay $33 plus change for them. I have never sent food back before ever. I?ve wanted to. Besides all that ourwaitress never greeted us just asked what we wanted to drink plus 2. Couples came in after us and got waited on first and hadtheir drinks and menus before we got ungreeted. We have gone to Kleptz's for our anniversary for 15 years. Today we went for our 15th and it was utterly disgusting. We spent... $70.00 on THE worst meal we have ever eaten. The salads were rotten, the cheese sticks were cold and gross. My husband ordereda ribeye that was fried in a pan. It was greasy and burnt to a crisp. The service was so so bad, we waited an hour to even getour appetizers. We used to love this restaurant and would recommend it to everyone, until today. We will never be back. Read more
I came with my mom and was pleasantly surprised by the trip. The food was all priced fairly and the menu had a good variety of... different items. For an appetizer, we ordered the onion straws with a horseradish sauce. The sauce was not very spicy but wasflavorful and tasty. The onion straws were fantastic! For those who remember, they are almost a mirror image of the onionstrings from Cheeseburger In Paradise, which is an absolute plus for me. (I'd come back for the onion straws alone!) For ourmain entrees, I ordered the Chicken Parmesan with steamed broccoli and hand-cut french fries. The fries were tasty and remindedme of Five Guys fries (which meant they were indeed fresh and hand-cut in house). The broccoli was simple and left a little tobe desired, however it wasn't too much of an issue as all entrees come with two sides. My main entree was the chicken parmesanwhich was prepared perfectly and had a very crispy shell. As expected of chicken parm, it did get soggy quickly, so I advise toeat quickly if you choose this dish. My mom ordered the ribeye prepared medium rare with sauteed mushrooms on top. It wascooked to perfection and seasoned well. She also got the broccoli, which she felt the same way I did about it. She said that theCaesar salad was good but nothing to rave about. To finish off, we ordered their Caramel Toffee cake which had excellenttoppings and average cake. I'd personally give the dessert a 5/10. Our server, Patty, was friendly and attentive. Well the food was very good!! Before I could take a picture he was jumping in and eating. The Mac and cheese was ok. I was... looking for something different I think more cheese. The salad ???? was super fresh and the dressing delicious. Shrimp andlobster were amazing. If you are in the area give them a try. Our server Darrell was super nice and did a great!! Went there for the fried chicken night. It did not disappoint. That chicken was fresh and hot. The taste was homemade for sure.... All the sides and biscuit were fresh hot and tasty. The restaurant is clean. It?s an old building that?s well kept. This is afantastic spot to grab a bite or a drink. Plus side is they serve coca-cola. Rare these days with small businesses. I?ll beready to try the rest of the menu soon. The deserts are freshly made in house as well. They are fantastic. Read more
