This easily could have been a 0 star review. We got home and half our food was missing, we called the store and told us to come... back. Courtney and Ken got us taken care of and remade my families entire order fresh for us on the spot and threw us free sidesand a drink. This would have started out as a negative review. We had ordered our food, and waited 30 minutes, only to find the food was... given to the wrong person. No one checked on us, and I had finally went to check. Given the news I was pretty upset, and agreedto wait another 5 minutes for everything to be remade. Finally got our food and I express my dismay for the events thatunfolded. I return once more because they also forgot my girlfriends drink... manager spots me and flags us down, explains whathappened and offers a refund. So I guess we?re good. She handled it well. 2 chicken sandwiches and a large sweet tea. Everything was terrible would have taken it back other than I was heading to north... west Illinois. Chicken was over cooked tough and dry, but they tried to cover it with 1/2 cup of mayo per sandwich. Now to myfavorite part of Popeyes, the sweet tea was just as sweet as ever, but it wasn't sweet enough to cover the taste that the teahad turned. Went through drive thru and there was no wait to place order. Order taker was friendly and got our order correct. We used a... coupon and she had no issue with it. Guy at the window greeted us and even asked if we wanted any other condiment like jelly forour biscuits. Which we did. Order was fast and food was fresh. I ended up not liking my coleslaw so I had my husband go take itback in and they replaced it free of charge for some fries. My husband loves the Mac and cheese here! We order chicken tendersand they were fresh and crispy. Only reason I didn't give it a 5 was because the colesaw didn't taste right. But other than thatamazing customer service. Food was great like other Popeyes locations but has a speed problem. For sure not the worst one that I've been to but also not... the best. Only 1 person working the counter, taking and fulfilling orders :( I saw at least one couple leave because of theline and the rest of us just grin and bear it. They could make more if they understood throughput. I would stop again becauseof the menu.... Read more
O.M.G . !! literally the BEST spicy chic sandwich I hav had to date !! (yes really.. !) better than chic-fil-A (yes Really),... burger king (who I must admit makes a very tasty sandwich .. !), and even other popeyes locations.. I am not even mad the lobbywas closed (yes I am) and the drive-thru line was 4 Million miles long .. !! (yes also kidding ..!) ok, no Im not, the line wasall the way to palm beach county, Florida and I got a tan while waiting .. (a'ight, a'ight, yes of course Im Kidding .. !!) so along line but gosh it moved very fast , I could not believe how quickly it went .. did I mention how cold it was outside .. ??this was end of jan/2022 and the high all day was approx 20 degrees within the tri-state (mo, il, in) area .. full-on articblasts (wind/gusts) too, so yes . it . was . flippin . feeezing . cold . so it was cold, long line, closed lobby, and we got tothe ordering intercom and latonya did not even budge about giving her name .. she was perky and upbeat and we laughed whileordering .. (my goal was to be her Favorite Customer of the day .. !) hah . we ordered those spicy chicken sandwiches .. alsosome gravy (dont ask .. I just love that stuff .. I could put popeyes gravy on a piece of cardboard and eat it ..lol) anyway,got to the window and lovely latonya didnt balk at all about me taking a picture .. ! Ryan there too helping and taking themoney (he used an abacus..) yes Im kidding abt the abacus !! but we joked there at the window too .. so I love a great workingstaff and "team" mentality (whoever you are, manager, high 5 to you ! terrific job !!) but of course the ultimate test is in thefood .. we drove less than a block and tried our food .. There?s not been a time I?ve came here and actually gotten all the food I paid for. This time I ordered a chicken sandwich,... mashed potatoes, chicken strips, and fries. I got to the drive through and they literally only handed me a chicken sandwich. Itold them I didn?t get all my food when they came back to the window and they gave me the ?rest? and said they promisedeverything was in there that time. I get home and I?m missing all of my fries.
