Finding it a challenge to get just a quick slice in Terre Haute, IN (I'm use to getting easy slices any time anywhere) I... stumbled upon Wise Pies and I was not disappointed at all! The pizza was well cooked. The cheese to sauce to dough ratios werereally on point for any NYC style pizza that is not in NYC. The service was great and it was so good I had to get a second slicefor the road. Out of the few places I had time to visit while in town, Wise Pies tops the list by a decent margain. I would say assumptions aren't the best: I would say staring is I guess common for people without coloured hair. But I... understand workers won't pick up on social queues as much. 15min wait for pizza is rather quick for pizza. The soda carbonationwas top notch and having Mellow Yellow is nice. The slice size is fantastic and the first has a nice crisp. Didn't expect onionson the Hawaiian but it tastes alright. Sad there wasn't more ham though. My favorite pizza place ever. Fav is the WOW pizza. Thin crust is my favorite so this place is perfect. If you get the combo... (one pizza slice with bread sticks) it will fill you up. I would definitely advise getting an entire pizza you're hungry becausethree silces cost the same price as a full pizza. Restaurant is cozy inside with an old school vibe. I enjoy sitting outsidewhen weather permits during lunch and chatting with friends. Read more
This NY style pie is the real deal. I grew up in upstate NY and struggle to find a good pie. Nice crust, good sauce, and a... quality pie. I found this place while traveling through the area. Will definitely stop by again if through. Highly recommended! Read more
