My FAVORITE breakfast place! I'm a Southerner, and so often do I miss my grandpa's pancakes when I'm up North, but though no one... will ever be able to top his, Cracker Barrel always gives me a taste of home. :) Their meatloaf is superb, their Mac and cheesedelicious, and the service is very prompt. Food came out quickly and I was given ample time to enjoy it without interruption.Prices are also very agreeable, and checkout staff pleasant. Wasted money!! Food was disgusting and had to be trashed. Broccoli was not cooked(substitute for turnip greens). Roast was all... fat. Mashed potatoes were just scooped out of a potato and thrown on a plate. Chicken pot pie one whole corner was too hard toeat. Didn't feel like cooking. So I came in around 630 and we walked around the store for awhile. I enjoy the store it's cute and they have some unique items.... It's a nice touch the store the fireplace the rocking chairs the oldtimey vibe. So we got a table there was no wait and thehostess was very nice and friendly. Our waitress was nice but we felt rushed when we first arrived she had several tables thenit was down to 2. She forgot our biscuits but we eventually got them after our food. So we ordered the desert biscuits as an appand it came out with our food and kinda laughed and said oops. So we had everything at once biscuits regular and desert and ourmeals. It was a little overwhelming but it's ok so the desert biscuits were tiny and not at all soft and fluffy the picture wasvery misleading they were overfilling the basket in person you have to lean over to see the. My son got chicken fingers andmashed potatoes he said the chicken was good but the potatoes tastes frozen like meal ones. I got the country fried chicken Iwas really excited until I got it the chicken was soggy dry smaller than in the photos ( another bait and switch). So I ate itbut kfc would've been alot better. So I got mac&cheese as a side that was very yummy but sadly a tiny portion. I subbed a sidesalad for a few and that was the only the only appropriately portioned item it was yummy also. The biscuits with butter andjelly they give you are good. I had to ask a couple times but they were worth it. So I'm eating the biscuits and the rest of mymeal and I asked for more butter and the waitress asked if I wanted it Togo I felt that was odd and not appropriate and a fewminutes after we received our entrees she plopped the check down on the table without us asking or indicating we were in a hurrythat was a buzzkill.
