I got the Chicken Fried Chicken and it was breaded and tasted pretty much perfect. The food in general had a definite home made... taste and texture that was exactly what you'd hope for and expect at a diner like this. Dixie Diner was a perfect stop for us to eat in Texarkana, Tx. The burgers and sides were excellent as well as the salads and... ham steak. The nostalgic decor help make the atmosphere almost as good as the food. The staff was friendly and prompt. Read more
The service was good. Average food. We had heard good things but we're disappointed overall. The rolls were good. The cornbread... was not so much. It was kind of old or hard or both. The salad with grilled chicken I ordered was bland and tasteless. Thehamburger steak my husband ordered was supposed to be medium well but came out too well done and dry. We will be back to tastethe pie, however, so I am hoping a redemption will be possible by way of pie. We will see. Read more
This has always been a hit or miss kind of place for us....sometimes good, sometimes, not so much. This visit, the food was... excellent!! Everything was as ordered, hot and yummy. Oh yeah, the homemade rolls and cornbread were awesome. Good job! Read more
Our waiter was great, think his name was Fabio (probably not spelled correctly, and I'm horrible at remembering names). He was... very friendly, super nice. The food was delicious! Our group had a grilled chicken salad, ham steak, catfish, salmon, and kid'schicken nuggets. Everyone loved their food. Absolutely awesome place to eat! Read more

Restaurant is clean, service good but the food is bland and unseasoned. The veggies we got were very watery. Like they were... literally just floating in water: no fat, no salt or pepper. The meatloaf topping tasted like plain tomato sauce, not savory orsweet. The lemon icebox pie is good. Read more
We drove an hour out of the way for the food and it was worth the trip. The pot roast is phenomenal. The people that work at... the diner are extremely pleasant and welcoming as well. My wife said she would move here just to be closer to this diner Read more
