Silver Star Smokehouse is truly Texan and thus belongs on the Texas side of the border in Texarkana. The food is what you want... from Texas BBQ. The place inside is unique and offers two spaces in one. The dining area and a bar with two pull down garagedoors which separate the areas. We were there for lunch, so it was one big area. Delicious food and beverages, friendly and fun staff, beautiful restaurant with rustic and country motif. Clean bathrooms,... plenty of parking, separate rooms for larger parties and a wide selection of alcoholic beverages. I went there with my parentson our way to Austin Texas from the Ohio area, and we just stopped because it was a sit down restaurant and we've been in thecar for many hours, and am I glad we stopped at the Silver Star Smokehouse, my father and I both had the pulled pork sandwichwith french fries and Cole slaw, and I will admit that the flavor of the pulled pork sandwich was the best tasting that I haveever had. So tender and delicious. My mother ordered the hamburger with onion rings, and she really enjoyed it. Really good BBQ joint. The ribs were great! The pulled pork was good. The sausage was ok but was my least favorite meat. The... brisket was also pretty good as I sampled a piece of it. The au gratin potatoes were to die for! The staff was very friendly anddid a great job. Read more

Went to this place in after noon. I ordered a NY strip. The steak was good. It was medium to medium well. The wait staff was... excellent and attentive. The refilled my drink without asking. This location was a little out of the way. Got a chuckle aboutthe "World Famous" BS on menu. Never hear of place before my eating here. Read more
Stopped in for some dinner, on my way back to Ohio from Dallas!!!!! Let me tell you something, this place is a Gem! From the... fall off the bone ribs, to the Sweet Tangy Pork.
