I stopped eating Gringos completely around 3 years ago. After I was the only one of a party of about 20 whose food was tainted.... This was the only time in my life that after eating food at a restaurant my eyes and lips swole up like balloons. I finallydecided to give them another chance and they messed up my order but I was so frustrated about it that I just told my girlfriendand let it go. She called them and let them know and they agreed to replace our order. So I was like wow that’s nice of them.So I start eating my food and it’s covered in cheese and I’m not really paying attention to my food. I finally look down andsee that I have bitten into a big chunk of Raw chicken I immediately spit it out and examined the rest of my chicken and findthat it’s more raw chicken that I haven’t consumed. The last 3 real time/life experiences with this establishment has beenabsolutely horrible. It’s already bad that the restaurant is all the way at the end of Texas City but then to get served rawchicken is unacceptable. I would not recommend this restaurant to anybody. We were seated promptly and chips and salsa arrived within a couple minutes. We had Queso Loco with chicharrones, tea and... Watermelon Rita. Our server was very sweet and took excellent care of us. Great environment, the atmosphere was absolutely lovely. My family and I enjoyed the service, our drinks and our food.

The setting is cozy, the people are nice, they have free self serve ice cream. However they are way too overpriced for the... portion we spent $50 on one taco, one tostada and one plain tortilla covered in cheese. And one burger. That's it. The portionswere really small, it would have been good as an appetizer but it was actually a main dish. I came from Chicago to spend time with my daughter and family in gavelston. I was told this place is amazing so we came here to... eat dinner. I have to say this place is amazing, what a great experience, Krystal did such and amazing job always making sureshe was so attentive, always checking in on us. I asked for extra spicy sauce and I loved it so spicy! Oh yeah! The chips andsalsa were great love the avocado dip and the spicy salsa, nice and hot! Once we got our food I was so pleased this was sodelicious and filling! After you eat you get such a great treat you get a free ice cream cone oh yeah!! You definitely need tocome eat here! Drop what ya doing and come on down. Bring your thanksgiving pants because you’re going to need them. So divine you won’t... be able to stop eating. The shrimp was spectacular. The steak was seasoned perfectly. Fiancé and I ate like kings for $80.03.I estimated it was around $90-$100 but was pleasantly surprised. Our server Christian was amazing! He always watching our cupsand checking up on us often. They have a free ice cream cone machine that is self service in the lobby, but we were too stuffedto get any.
