I stopped in here because of some of the stellar reviews. All I have to say is the only thing smokey was the dining room air. I... ordered the brisket and pork with smoked beans and smoked macaroni. First off was the beans. Couldn't really taste any smokingflavors. Maybe a liquid smoke but tasted more like bbq sauce. Next the macaroni tasted like a Velveeta cream macaroni withnormal flavors. Last was the meats. Both had hardly any flavor to them. Tasted like a meat that was cooked on the grill withnothing added. I will not be eating my money at this place again. Read more
Wow is all I can say! We ordered large portions of prime rib, pulled pork, and brisket, along with beans, potatoe salad, and... toast for a wedding rehearsal dinner. The taste of the food was awesome, and the portions were great; I'd definitely recommendthis to anyone needing to eat barbecue in the area. Read more
Was told better than KC BBQ! Having just worked there, this was not the case! It was good , but I would compare to your average... home BBQer! Edit: tried again today! Better but brisket was chopped and I asked for sliced! I was told by a KC competitorthat if brisket is chopped, it was not properly cooked! Read more
Absolutely incredible barbecue. It was the best I've had in a very long time. Also we were traveling and happened to come in... shortly before close. They were so incredibly patient with us despite being there right at closing time. We greatly appreciatedthat since there weren't really any other restaurants around. Awesome barbecue meats and sides. I got the two meat platter of brisket and ribs and my wife got the brisket and chicken, all of... which were very tasty. Make sure you get the white sauce, it was delicious. My two sides were baked beans and Mac n cheese whilemy wife got Mac salad and Cole slaw. All the sides were good too, except the Mac n cheese was a little runny! The staff is supernice and accommodating and the prices are very reasonable for bbq. The ribs tasted great but had very little actual meat onthem, otherwise everything else was awesome! Highly recommend for takeout back to your cabin! Read more
