The staff here are very kind. Especially the sushi chefs behind the bar. No complaints with the staff at all. The restaurant is... clean. However, the only reason I gave 3 stars was because after eating here my husband and I weren’t feeling well. Ourstomachs were so upset. We shared two rolls between the two of us…the Boston roll and jingle bell roll. Not sure if fish wasbad but we weren’t well that evening and in the bathroom a lot. Read more

This was not my first time visiting a grill like this, but the "type" of food was different for me. It didn't matter, though,... because our server was very friendly and informative. We were there for my goddaughter's birthday, and the time was soenjoyable! If you love sushi, this is a great place to go. If you're not sure what to get, try the N45. It is definitely afavorite ????. The atmosphere was great and our cook was so fun and interactive!! Read more

After an absolutely horrible experience at uptown asian fusion, I decided to give this place a try since I still had a craving... for sushi. It's now one of my favorites! Everything was delicious and all of the staff was extremely nice and welcoming! Willdefinitely add this to my list of regular resturants. Read more

Typical hibachi dinner, but what made this experience stand out was the outstanding service all around. I had the vegetable... hibachi with teriyaki tofu and it was delicious. Portion size was plentiful and I can't wait to return. Read more

My husband and I came here for sushi and sat at the bar, wanted a change from our usual spot. We normally only go to Top Sushi... or Fukuda. The happy hour at Sakekawa had some good deals and looked enticing. This is solely my preference, I know not everyonewill agree. I like my sushi sliced delicately and not too thick, same with the sushi rolls. Everything they brought out sushiwise was cut too thick and too big. It kind of grossed me out after a couple bites, when it comes to sushi I think less is more. The roll pieces were large as well, hard to fit one piece in your mouth. I don't think I will be returning here for sushi. Wehave also had the hibachi as well and we did enjoy our food there and the little hibachi show is always fun from time to time. Iwould return for their regular hibachi menu. Read more

Took my 14 year old for his birthday, as a fam we had been out for teppanyaki in UT and in WA before, BUT this was the TASTIEST... EVER! Tomas was our chef tonight. He was friendly, entertaining and seasoned our food ON POINT. Already my older son (23 inSept) & my younger son (10 in Nov) KNOW where they want to go for their b-days. I am sure every special occasion for sometimewill be at Sakekawa & asking for Tomas and his teppanyaki skills!! Read more

Average good. Medium plates. Price 30% higher than similar places. We spent about $85 for two.

This place was a treat for an anniversary dinner for me and my wife. She had never had Teppanyaki (Hibachi) so I had to show... her. The restaurant was easily located, and has good parking. The decor was fair, and as expected. Hosts were friendly, and ourwaiter greeted us and took our drinks and appetizer order. Our chef was the highlight. Typical teppanyaki flair and gimmicks, but very well done. My wife had a blast. We ordered some sushi, and the steak and shrimp (hibachi) dinner, and the seafood combo(hibachi) dinner. The chef cooked it well, and cooked it quick. The steak portion was a bit small and thin, and more of a mediumwell than medium rare as ordered, but very good in the end. I regret not getting the chateaubriand. Their soup included with themeal was incredible. Fried rice and the veggies also were well seasoned and cooked. Unfortunately while the chef was performing, the waiter ran off with my soup and salad before I was done. Big disappointment. Overall, we cannot wait to return and try morefood. They have an impressive selection of sushi that I look forward to exploring in the future. Read more
