My husband and I love this north woods cabin style family restaurant. The bar has a nice specialty cocktails list as well as... wines. The beer menu only listed bottles but I could see they have at least 15 beer options on tap. I'm not sure if they're notincluded in bar menus because you can see the taps? Maybe they are included with dinner menus but I didn't sit in the diningroom. My husband and father in law love the reuben, saying it's one of the best in the area. I love their crab cakes and oftenorder them with a side caesar, which is standard but good! On this trip, I ordered to go and it was a thirty minute wait (Icalled at 6:00). The kitchen is small so you have to be patient but it's worth it. While I waited one of the managers initiatedan awkward confrontation with staff which I found uncomfortable. I understand the serving station is directly next to the bar,but there should be a more discreet way to go about that. My husband and I ordered the bear paws, reuben, and steak sandwich. Iwas pleased that they asked for doneness on the steak sandwich and even more pleased when it came medium rare, as ordered. Ifyou are in the area, I urge you to check out this laid back bar and grill! Read more

One of my favorite lunch / dinner spots. The staff is nice, the food is great, the atmosphere is very unique and comforting, and... the owners are awesome. Best French onion soup and mozzarella sticks around! They are huge supporters of the community andHomestead athletics as well. 10/10 would recommend. Read more

First time customer. The atmosphere was nice but the good experience stopped as soon as we sat down. We ordered drinks and I... must say my margarita was terrible. I'm not sure what it was but it wasn't a margarita. I took about 3 sips and it tasted liketequila and syrup. It was really bad. They where very busy and our waitress was friendly but when she brought the salad out shebrought one salad fork with it and we had to ask for napkins. She never brought them so my friend went and got them herself. Finally after about 30 minutes our dinner was served. Still no silverware. So we had to wait for that. She nicely sat thesilverware down on the napkins we provided for ourselves. I ordered the meatloaf. The meatloaf was nothing like the descriptionon the menu. Basically it was 2 thick slices of dried out hamburger with very little seasoning and about a teaspoon of whatappeared to be salsa and it was Luke warm. The garlic mashed potatoes where also Luke warm and crusty around the edges asthough they sat under a heat lamp and dried out. Luckily they gave me a tiny slab of butter that helped give them some taste. No one came back to the table until I stopped someone and asked for a container to take home the meatloaf. Which my dog wasmore than happy to eat. It was my first experience. I had hoped I had found a new place to take my husband but I don't think Iwill be going back. Read more

We randomly tried Remington's based on our inherent love for dogs. We were not disappointed. One of our party has odd dietary... restriction that were not a problem at all. The wait for our food was as would be expected to know the food is being preparedfreshly.. We both had steaks that were prepared exactly as ordered, melt in your mouth texture and exquisitely tender. Thesalad was crisp and fresh. The blue cheese dressing was thick and flavorful without the bite that sometimes accompanies bluecheese dressing. To finish the meal we chose the lava cakes. Soft chocolate center with a delectable vanilla bean ice creamdrizzled with chocolate and caramel. Waitstaff attentive without being annoying. Highly reccomended. Read more

My partner & I stopped for his birthday meal & the staff was great.I really enjoyed my filet at first I thought it might be... too small but it was perfect. I would definitely go back here! Loved the view of the river - they have some beautiful outdoorseating - even though we chose to eat indoors. Read more

The food here is great! The meatloaf, Ruben, and Santa Fe wrap were wonderful! I would high recommend any one of them if you?re... coming here. The waitstaff was very nice and quick to get our food out and get us seated. The prices were about average and theportions were very good as well. I would stop by and give them a try if you?re thinking about it. I?m sure I?ll be back here inthe future! Read more

The best baked French onion soup I've ever had hands down. Perfect balance of spices and herbs and not salty despite the cheese... on top. The fliet mingon was so tender I cut it with a butter knife (ordered medium rare) and the flavor was tasted throughoutthe entire steak not just the top in the middle. Garlic mashed potatoes were good, almost had a bit of a crust on them like theywere broiled which was a nice change of texture. The vegetables du jour were cooked perfectly and crisp not soggy and not overlyseasoned. Perfect spot to stop for a dinner on the river with a cozy cabin feel inside. Read more
