Staff is so friends, views are beautiful and food was delicious- so special to have such a nice patio in Thornbury. Cocktails... were also perfect. I?m not sure why there are so many negative reviews but if it?s tied to staff shortages this is everywhereright now post COVID and people need to be kinder and more supportive. A recommendation brought us to the harbour area. Pleasant night to sit on the patio. We enjoyed the ?full tour? apps followed by... lamb burger and paella. Our server was happy to assist in the wine selection and an overall great night. Will visit again. Read more
Wow! Just Wow. This place was incredible and beat my expectations by a mile. Their patio is great and service is extremely... friendly and efficient. But their food is out of this world. I ordered the lamb burger with halloumi and it was seriously upthere with the best I?ve ever had. The patatas bravas side was also excellent. Blown away by the great food - delicious and beautifully presented. We ordered their specials, a couple fish dishes that were... perfectly cooked. The baked halibut was served with a seafood paella - it was as good as I've ever had anywhere! What a find -5 star cooking at very reasonable prices and with friendly service. A group of 6 of us went to Sterlings on Canada day, we came in with the rush and we?re the last seated on the patio with the... final large table. It was lovely. The patio space is great, with lovely views of the harbour. Umbrellas kept us nice and shady.Our waitress was amazing, and very calm throughout the Canada day chaos. Other couples came in after us, and we were a bitshocked to see them get drinks before us (just beers). Because we were at the end of the big rush, and ordered cocktails theytook a little longer to prepare, once we mentioned the wait they had comped all 6 of our drinks! The food came shortly after.Delicious large serving of fries and sandwich, carpaccio, fresh Ceviche with crackers, the serving was great but splitting acouple things we asked for another order of crackers to go with our food. Unfortunately it was so busy our waitress came back totell us that our meals would be comped as well. We left a big tip as a thank you! I had the pleasure of early dining at Sterlings, in Thornbury this evening and both my friend and I talked about the excellent... service and the very creative menu. Along as a surprise to us there was live music. It was an enjoyable and delish fun time. Made very comfortable and special by our Server, Ethan. If I could take him to every restaurant that I dine at I would bethrilled. I have a few physical issues and he made me so very comfortable that I literally did not feel any discomfort andbetween the food and music the time zoomed. And along with all that the view from the patio was very kind on the eyes. Thankyou Sterlings and I know I will be back soon. Read more
