Famous Dave’s BBQ really is good BBQ. Not everything is great, but I would say that it’s based on palette preference not... because it’s actually bad. We tried the Georgia chopped pork, St. Louis Style Spare Ribs, Southside Rib tips, and the Brisket.Sides were Wilbur Beans, Coleslaw, and Mac & Cheese. The chopped pork was quite bland unless smothered in their delicious BBQsauce and the Mac & Cheese had corn in it which changed the flavor so drastically that it was not something I enjoyed. However,those are flavor differences NOT a reflection of bad cooking. The rest of the meal was fantastic! The cornbread was perfectlysweet with an edge of savory and the meats were cooked until perfectly tender. The BBQ sauce was not overwhelming and none ofthe food needed any extra sauce. I highly recommend this restaurant if you’re someone who has a hard time finding BBQ youenjoy because you already have a place you love. They won’t disappoint. Total was $38 (no drinks, just water). Positive: Excellent service Negative: Food quality is literally trash. I'm convinced I could find anything offered at a... questionable discount meat store. The meat tasted as if it was prepared from a $1 tv dinner; seriously not an exaggeration. Eachside we tasted I'm confident came from a can. Disgusting. Where do I start. The awful service, The slow food service, the wrong order provided or the raised prices. This place has gone... down hill in a hurry. I’m sure that COVID didn’t do them any favors but the management must’ve also changed or something.The feel and everything are completely different. The moment we walked in, it continued to go downhill. There was no one to greet us when we walked in, we stood around for about... 5 minutes before we decided to sit in the bar as we saw several tables occupied and thought we would get service. We againwaited at the table for someone to help us. We saw a woman in the bar area cleaning tables and restocking. Finally with a lackof enthusiasm she asked what we'd like to drink. We had no idea she would also be our server since there wasn't any effort tomake us the customer important. We ordered the three meat platter. We got our food fairly quickly, but the mashed potatoes werecold. The server Shannon never checked on us to see how our food was or if we needed anything since bringing it food. Her focuswas strictly cleaning as it was getting closer to closing time. I've worked in retail and restaurants, if you have customers inyour business, they are your number one priority but not in this case. One of the worst dining experiences we've ever gotten andwe eat out 1-2 times a week. We waited to get our bill, we had to initiate this as cleaning was still more important. The laststraw was taking away my leftovers that I had planned to take home and didn't even ask if I wanted it. Managers.... The customerservice is lacking here. It felt like it was a big inconvenience that we chose to spend our money here for dinner. With so manyrestaurants to choose from we will choose a place that appreciates and welcomes us. Read more
One of the Best $11.50 Lunch Specials I have had!!! I had the 2 Meat Burnt Ends, Rib Tibs, Coleslaw, Muffin, Texas Toast,... Pickles, Onions and a Sweet Tea. Restaurant was very clean and my Waitress Andie was awesome! Read more
Went here for lunch and the host was very friendly and was able to seat us immediately. The waitress on the other hand was a bit... rude with her tone and seemed annoyed at times but at least served us quickly. I was a little annoyed because I wanted the lunchmeat plate but she charged us for the dinner plate even though we were there during lunch hours (11-4). We got the burnt ends,chopped pork, and a chopped pork sandwich. The sides were pretty tasty but the BBQ meat was nothing to write home about. Thepork was pretty dry and the burnt ends were really chewy and fatty. Overall if you really want BBQ it’s not awful but notgreat either. Read more
Some great barbecue here, been coming here a few times now and haven’t walked away disappointed. Food is always phenomenal and... the service has always been fast and polite. They do a good job at keeping things clean and make sure your glass is never emptyeven if you have a larger party. Whenever you feel like some good barbecue this is the place to go. Read more
Friendly staff, quick and efficient. For dinner at 8pm food was still serviceable and tasty. Brisket was awesome also had burnt... ends. Coleslaw was to die for, sweet & tasty 3 rd time we been there and we'll be back Read more
